I just got 17 members, woot.

My second string team is getting rather a beating against Kears' team the Bushpigs

Magical Ponies 86/3 off 16 overs

And, if anyone wants a decent rookie to buy, http://195.149.144.130/nl/playerDetails.asp?playerID=322260, looks pretty good. Just a bit out of my price range

Edit: 122/4 off 24, RR 5.08
Hodges and Johal have top scored so far with 37 and 29 respectively

Made quite a good recovery, with the two batsmen in my actual team (Andrew and Williamson, who came in at 6 and 7) bringing us to to a decent total in the end of 283/5

McVeigh scored 66 off 96, Andrew 77* off 72 and Williamson with 20* off 19.

My bowling isn't all that crash hot, with only one main bowler who has actually played in a league match

Edit: Very bad start for me from the openers, 70/0 off 11.3

Edit: Good recovery from mainly Ibrahim, my spinner, 5-0-18-1, to make them 129/1 off 23 overs, RR 5.61, RRR 5.74

Wow this is heating up against Kears.

Magical Ponies 283/5

Bushpigs 255/2 off 45 overs.

Oh wait, they just hit 1,6,1,1,4,1. It's all over now
Bushpigs 269/2 off 46

Reed bowled like an absolute idiot and is more than likely to face the chopping block. Whibread didn't go well either, but he's 17 so with some training he should be pretty good. I was surprised with Ibrahim's bowling. He's really my only spinner, and with some training could end up being a pretty good allrounder. Allaway did all the damage for the Bushpigs with 119 off 146, although at the start he was well ahead of a run a ball. I was very disappointed batting wise as well, but none are likely to be fired cause they're all pretty young. Anyway, it was well played by Kears' team.

You see that button two to the right of the M key? Use it :p

Batting wise you went pretty well, considering you were chasing a big total. Looking at your averages, it looks like Levy is pretty good, considering he took a 5/10 and made 71* in your first leauge match. What are his stats like?

Looking at Levy's wages I highly doubt he's better than respectable in either batting or bowling. BTW rolande, why didn't you play your youth pull? And I hope that match downgrades your opinion of your team a little. 8-)

**** me, I wouldn't mind having someone who's respectable in either batting or bowling. My best is still competent.

Yeah, I'm just saying respectable/respectable would be the absolute max for that sort of wage. He's probably competent or something. Maybe if you stopped buying 17yo feebles you'd have a respectable by now. :p

I'm not going to spend 30+ thousand on a player when I can just train one

Adamc

Well, keep in mind that time is money, and each training slot is effectively 2.5k per week you're investing in that player. Still, must be hard allocating training slots when you've got 15 players under 20?! Anyway, once you start raking in the gate receipts, 30k won't seem like a lot.

Put Division 2 team Funky Funksters CC into bat... 15-4 after 4.1 overs... my opening bowlers are bowling through, so should be no let-up.

That's an awesome start. How's the stamina of your openers, though? They could very well run out of steam if it's not very high

Grrrrr... I must keep getting crap because my team is good already or something.

Bit of a duff combination with abysmal consistency and defensive player tho, but shouldn't matter too much.
