Nah, I put the net on when they'd both popped to prof. Was wondering if it was anything to do with the guy who popped having prof leadership compared to abysmal.
Well one could be a half-week ahead, but it didn't show (one would be proficient + 0, the other proficient + 0.5 say) then at 18 it takes 12 OR 13 weeks to pop, so it could be 12.5 sessions exactly to pop if we all saw the engine in full detail. So Mr. + 0.5 then pops after 12 weeks, the other after 13...

Something like that anyway.

just one pop. starting to find all this one pop per week crap rather annoying.

Steven Sweeney - 19 yo, BT Rating=16,157
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A destructive player with mediocre leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: woeful Concentration: competent
Bowling: superb Consistency: respectable
Fielding: feeble

as far as wages are concerned, duggan is the only players i'm remotely concerned about. otherwise, it should pretty much be plain sailing. i spend 32,000 on my players each week, and if that goes up to 50,000 next season, it won't be too bigger deal tbh

My wages are already at 57k (though they've dropped to 47k temporarily with Louis being sold), I expect they'll go up to at least 65-70k next season. Getting to the point where I need the money from interest to stay afloat. Hopefully the gate receipts from FC will be significant enough to ensure that I turn a profit every week.

Ok the situation is, i have 2 games remaining against Defoetus and Blues Port with an 8 point advantage over Blues Port. Looking at last rounds game between Defoetus and Blues Port and the ratings from Defoetus, one of 2 things could have happen:
1)They played on normal after TIE'ing their previous games againt Spirit, Oakden and Compy or
2) They GFI'd Blues Port just because they could and probably wont get knocked from 3rd spot.

What i want to know is whether i should GFI this friday against Defoetus to try and wrap the league up, or to normal this week and GFI the last game against Blues Port?

Just a few extra things, my fitness level is fresh, team morale is over the moon and i can play me best team all on sublime fitness (Lovegrove should get there seeing as he is being rested from the u19 games this week)

Don't you find buying players like that sets your team back quietly?

From what I gather, he'd need lots of training to get into your side with those secondaries and those nets could be used on someone else who's already in your side. I've done that quite lot recently, snapped up a bargain but they've been useless to me.

Unless you're looking to make a profit?

Am mainly looking to replace one of my bowlers, Dunne, who's a (very low) respectable bowl, with woeful stamina and competent consistency. And he was cheap, so I may just end up selling him next season after he pops.

Once my ground expansion is complete I should be getting at least 270-280k income from OD matches. I'm hoping FC will bring in at least 2/3rds of this amount (seeing as crowd sizes appear to be linked to the number of members and members confidence, not the division). Either way it should be a lot more the 100k per fortnight I get from the subsidy at the moment.

Is anyone else not looking forward to the wage updates?

I think I'm going to get hit pretty bad, quite glad I've got serious cash stashed up in case it is unworkable.

Looks like I'm resigned to 6th in the league, very tempted to throw my playoff match now. Anyone else looking to do the same after last seasons debacle?
Yep, I think I'm in the same boat as you PY.
