It happens sometimes if they're not getting nets. BTR has no effect on skill, so don't worry. You'll find, I think, that over time it will increase (albeit very gradually) without nets.

No pops for the second week running, got a lot of secondary pops due tho, Armstrong should pop to strong batting next week or the week after as well. Have made way for a couple more fitness nets

Like I said, rating doesn't affect your players' skills at all, so there's no need to. Given he's 24, I'd be more inclined to give the net to a younger player, but it all depends on the strength of your team.

Made all that money back I spent on Bardle Jnr (350k) almost in one swoop when I sold a 17yo respectable (who'd just popped) bowler with feeble stamina and feeble consistency with mediocre batting but worthless everything else for 280k. :D

Back upto 1.1m now and raking that interest in nicely. :)

Just the one interesting pop:

Udeep Abdul kadir - 18 yo, BT Rating=10,364
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A steady player with proficient leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: strong Concentration: competent
Bowling: worthless Consistency: feeble
Fielding: abysmal

Oh and I had 2 guys who are both 18, both prof batsmen who both had one batting net each at exactly the same time yet one has popped quicker than the other.

Is there any reason for that?

No pops (bar an experience) for the second week running, better make up for it next week.

perhaps now we have a new forum we should have a separate training thread and others

Is anyone else not looking forward to the wage updates?

I think I'm going to get hit pretty bad, quite glad I've got serious cash stashed up in case it is unworkable.

Looks like I'm resigned to 6th in the league, very tempted to throw my playoff match now. Anyone else looking to do the same after last seasons debacle?

Am not looking forward to Canning's new wage, but it shouldn't be too bad. I've kept his secondaries (resp/resp) at a reasonable level so hopefully he'll be alright.

He probably started at the higher level.

Nah, I put the net on when they'd both popped to prof. Was wondering if it was anything to do with the guy who popped having prof leadership compared to abysmal.
