I've had to set my orders for Friday's league match and Sunday's Blind Cricket Cup fixture this morning, as I'm off on my stag do to Amsterdam on Thursday. Friday's opponents are pretty ordinary, Woes and Abs across the board, so I've excluded anyone who wasn't back to Sub fitness after today's daily update. That leaves me with a side of: Bennett (Resp/Attacking), Carey (Resp/V.Attacking), Patel (Prof/Attacking), Greening, (Sup/V.Attacking), Carless (Comp Bat Comp WK/V.Attacking), Mullins, (Resp Bat/Attacking, B3Med LFM/Normal), Wynne-Willson (Comp/Attacking), Edworthy (Woe Bat/Normal, B1Resp RFM/Attacking), Andrew (B5Comp LHS/Normal), Bent (B2Resp RFM/Attacking), Bridges M (B4Strong RHS/Attacking)

A lot weaker than my full side, but still pretty confident it's more than strong enough to do the job on TIE. I've opted for B2 Through orders, Bent has Resp Stam, and along with five each from Edworthy and Bridges M, we should hopefully have broken the back of their innings before Mullins and Andrew touch the ball. Curiously, in B2 Through, B4 actually gets to bowl before B3, which begs the question of why they're B4 and B3 in the first place?

Sunday's match is looking a little trickier. Blue Royster Cult have a top four with wages which would suggest that they're all Strong+, after that they've got a couple of high Resps/Low Profs, but nothing terribly scary, and the tail pretty much begins at No.7 - But I've got to get there first. Their bowling looks solid rather than deadly, but I think I'm going to have to post 280 to have a chance of defending it. Their last few weeks' ratings have been Prof/Comp/Abs - Resp/Comp/Feeb, whereas my friendly ratings on Sunday were: Resp/Comp/Abs - Comp/Strong/Feeb, so I reckon it's going to be tight.

Going to Amsterdam to get utterly ratarsed for my stag do, as I'm getting married next month, so it'll be the last away jolly with the boys as a free man.

There is actually a good reason for that, other than me just being a total clutz with anything technical! Normally when I come on here I'm automatically logged in, but today for some reason I have to log in every time I go to a new screen. When I wrote that post it kept bouncing me out again, and unbeknown to me, every time I logged in, it re-sent the post.

By no means my worst IT disaster though. About five years ago I was having a bit of a fling with one of the girls in the IT department in work. Come Friday night I decided to print out all her saucy E-mails and take them down the pub to give the boys a giggle. Anyway, I hit CTRL/P...No wurring noise from the printer....There's paper in there....I try again....And again...Then the penny dropped - I was in the Bristol office...And my printer drivers were set up to print out in the Cardiff newsroom, about fifty miles away. Needless to say that my colleagues got hold of them before I made it back on the train! And seeing as I'd obligingly printed them several copies, there was plenty to go around. Didn't see much of the IT girl after that?!

Come on FC, mid-weeks are soooo boring now!

Not meaning to be rude or anything, just curious, but are you partially blind or completely blind? Sorry if this has been asked before or offends.

Don't mind you asking at all mate. Technically I come under the "B1" category for cricket and football, I.E. no useful vision, although I can actually see a tiny bit. I'd kind'a liken it to looking through your bathroom window, or through a sheet of tracing paper. There's the same amount of light as normal, but it's all blurred and without definition. I can see colours and big objects, like cars and buildings, but smaller than that and it gets lost in the mist.

Adam, wouldn't say you were out of it against Ladbroke Rovers, didn't they lose last weekend to a side with massively inferior ratings?

TBH I'd say that relationship split probably only ranks 3rd in my all-time list of love-life blunders! But I guess this isn't really the place to tell you all about them. I know I asked yesterday, but where else on the site do you guys go when you're not on this thread? Sometimes I feel like a right Billy No-Mates when I look at the bottom of the page and see Trevor_Vayro is the only person viewing this thread! Could writing to yourself be construed as a form of E-Schizophrenia?
