Of course the down side of being blind is that you do stupid bloody things like put an extra nought on the end of the asking price for your Comp/Comp WK, and end up asking £2m instead of £200K.

I don't know whether to hope someone bids or not. I mean of course I'd love the money, but if someone's stupid enough to bid on him then I might get kicked out for irregular trading practices, like someone in my friendly league did. Adam, you're a Mod, I'm telling you in advance it was an accident! Mind you, if someone's that stupid then they're not likely to have two mill in the first place I suppose!

Well if he did get sold for 2m someone will probably pick up on it and reverse the transfer or something and maybe hit you with a heavy fine, but if that happens I'll let them know of your plight. ;) Incidentally I just picked up a comp WK with comp batting for 8k, pretty crap skills otherwise but I need to start getting some backup for next season.

Playing the league leaders tomorrow.

Ratings suggest I'll lose - do I GFI and hope for a miracle (my most recent ratings were on TIE and were my best yet) or just PAN (or even TIE) and take the beating, knowing I'll be able to finish 3rd comfortably based on the season so far?

I'm thinking I overpaid for him but what the heck! Unless I'm underestimating should have only cost around 500K but he was the best available for under a mil and figured I'd just take a chance. Around the end of the season I'll dip into the market again and buy a bowler.

:-O

Came back from going to the dentist and having lunch afterwards to see that I'd posted my higest score, 2/423. Guess that's what happens when you have all your bats on very attacking. Griffin made 206* off 139, my first double century, Kilkenny made 89 off 79, and Canning 74* off 54, his first half century. He then followed it up with striking in both his first and second overs, ending 2/36 off his first 5. They're currently 3/99 off 18.

I had an easy TIE win over the weakest team in my league. Made 1/366 then bowled them out for 100. Gray and Mcmillan both got 150s+ Rayno also took a wicket (or four) :-O

TIE ratings are now looking a bit better, too:

Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: mediocre
Spin Bowling: respectable
Fielding: woeful

After a disastrous start, my team fitness is now Lively and my morale Ecstatic, along with Sponsor & Member confidence at Ecstatic. Good times.

Pretty annoyed that that batting line up managed 224 runs, but a good win nonetheless. Pretty happy with what Canning managed there, given he had low fitness (he's fatigued now).

Edit: Haha just noticed Griffin's average for the league- 922 :D

Should have this put to bed in short order. Jack's All Stars 67 A/O, Bent 6/0/9/4, Mullins 3/2/1/2, Bridges M 5/1/16/2, Bewers 7/1/7/1, Edworthy 5/1/20/1.

Bent looked set for his first fivefer for The Gurs, but couldn't strike again in his last three, giving Mullins the chance to steal in and nick the last two tail-enders. Bewers was awesome, they could hardly lay a bat on him, but Edworthy from the other end had a bit of an off day.

I did actually win the toss and elected to field, but TBH I'm beginning to wish I'd batted, as I thought I'd have a bit more of a chase than this, after the drop in fitness from GFIing last week.

Umm, What was it that pride came before? Greening out second ball for four, 5/1 at the end of the first, should still be ok...No just don't say anything!

Unusual picking up of the pace mid-innings in my game, a 6 came in 4 consecutive overs, brought up the 200 at the end of the 29th over.

Ended up with 353-1 after the usual predictably low scoring last 20 overs. Packer 184* off 160, Armstrong 136 off 127.
