they used to increase a lot quicker than they do now, i think they increase at a similar level to primaries now, but the likes of Scaly can give you a better clue.

ok how often is he on?
All the time. :p

I'm thinking my bowling attack is crap but not sure what I should do about it.
Name - Age, Type [bowling/consistency/stamina] & nets

Sekani - 18, RM [strong/woeful/feeble] 1 bowl, 1 fitness
Liyanage - 20, RHS [prof/resp/med]
Malik - 23, LFM [resp/comp/feeble]
Singh - 20, LHS [comp/strong/resp]
Govender - 17, RHS [comp/feeble/feeble] 1 bowl, 1 fielding
Rampaul - 28, RHS [resp/feeble/woeful]
Chanderpaul - 25, LFM [comp/med/feeble]

I'm getting pillaged in my league.

Thoughts:

- I have 382k in the bank with 3 home games in a row coming up so should be upto 700k after that. Do I buy someone young, train them using nets from other bowlers who are rubbish?

- I'm training my only good batsman (Chanderpaul - 19, [superb/comp/comp] 2 bat, 1 field) and two other decent bats (Moodley - 18, [prof/comp/resp] >> Abdul kadir - 18, [prof/comp/med]) with a batting net each.

- I have no ITS to use plus I've got about 8 different players 20 or under who with a net could be really useful.

I'm not sure what to do to be honest.

Looking for a long-term solution to my fifth bowler problem following the realisation that Ryan is in fact no good against half-decent batting lineups. I thought that having one dud bowler would be OK, but he's conceding 20-30 runs more than he should per match, so it's quite damaging. Normally I would just sell him and trade up, but I want to save up a bit as I'll need to buy at least two more strong+ batsmen for next season, so that's £1m+ gone (not that I have anywhere near that amount at the moment).

Will have 40 ITS tomorrow though, so will probably chuck that all into bowling/stamina/cons, maybe some fielding, and hope for the best. Alternatively I could split it across batting and bowling and potentially increase his sale value, but I'd rather get a trainee at this stage as I can actually afford to spare a few nets for a change.

Secondaries take ages for young players, if you just train someone in just bowling or just batting it will take around 10 weeks for even 20yos to pop in consistency or concentration. Pace my superb bowler has had 10 weeks without a consistency pop and they're 20, this is consistent with recorded pops for my other young players (Armstrong took 9 weeks, but 3 of those weeks were before the training changes). Fielding nets will cut the time it takes a bit, but not really worth it in my opinion unless you've got someone with massively contrasting skills and they have potential to make it worth ploughing nets into them.

Now I'm off playing cricket, so no I won't be here all the time...

My YP was competent with 10 ITS on bowling but worthless/abysmal in everything so listed him.

Might start saving them up now.

Am praying for this YP to be worthless/worthless as I'm not using any YPs:

Bill Pennant (824820)
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Magical Ponies
Nationality: Australia
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,269
Wages: £549 p/w
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: competent Consistency: worthless
Fielding: respectable

Damn!!! I need another bowler, and with the right amount of ITS he could've been a proficient bowler with pretty decent stamina. :(

As much as I enjoy being put in with those two, I'm nowhere near good enough to be.

Having said that though, I am still in the Cup.

Gotta love bots.
It's gotta be annoying to be playing away all the time.

EDIT: Was wondering how long it would take for him to pop in batting with two nets. Just pulled him with 20ITS, so was wondering whether to train him or sell him.

Code:

It is a bit, you have any idea why that is?

I'm sure there's a reason but I can't be bothered to look it up.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with your final league position at the end of last season. Then the highest ranked team plays the lowest ranked, then the second ranked plays the second-lowest, and so on.

But the weaker teams get home advantage, so if you did well and you're playing opponents weaker than you, then you will mostly have away games. So the moment you slip out of the top half and into the bottom, you'll get a home game.

EDIT: Not sure if it's final position at the end of the previous season or initial positions at the start of the new season.

Do you not have any spinners, Nibbs?
I'm afriad not Andy. The plan has been for a while now, to buy a spinner who can bat. I want someone young who can be trained for a while and this is probably going to cost quite a bit, but I think that it will be well worth it. My bowling lineup is what is holding me back from being able to compete with the top sides, so when I begin to sort this out, which includes getting a new spinner, we should be able to go from strength to strength I'm hoping.

I think he'd be about halfway to respectable, so he'd still need quite a bit.

Not going too well in my friendly against Rob here, although Canning just came back on and took two wickets (Wolfenden and McMillan) in three balls.

Canning 8-0-36-2
Gray* 64 (71 balls)
Houlihan 2 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Mcmillan c. Farmer b. Canning 0 (FOW: 143/2)
