Meh, got beat by 52 runs.

One guy took 4/29 off 10, he was the only one who I didn't pound about the ground really and he took key wickets. Stupid Chanderpaul getting out early doors.

Lovely. Gowshall, Dilshan and Devapriya all managed to get goldens though :(

Damn, WI didn't get daily updates today for some reason so the PFL's haven't gone up. I was hoping Watkins would go up to invigorated which would make me feel comfortable having him bat and bowl, but as the updates didn't happen he's still on lively so I'm a bit worried. He's at no. 5, hard and fast pitch so he might not have to do much batting.

Really big game for me, I'm likely to lose the next league match after this one so if I lose this match I'll be 0-3, if I win I should be in an OK position though with slightly easier matches after that. Up against a team with a gun bowling lineup (NT bowler, U19 bowler, then a superb, strong and a proficient) so I set the pitch to H+F to hopefully nullify that advantage. Will need my bowlers to keep it tight which will be a bit hard seeing as four of them are destructive. Watkins is defensive and I set him to v. defensive, interesting to see how he goes.

Batting first and made a solid start, 15-0 after 2.

Can't believe my start:

End of Over 10: 80-0, runrate=8.00
Anderson 5-0-38-0
Cuss* 39 (28 balls)
Wynand 38 (32 balls)

Wonder if they TIE'd. Their NT/U19 bowlers still to come though.

ouch, calypso collapso, 222-3 to 245 all out. Abdul Kadir goes for 103 to start the collapse, Challinor not out 56 at the end. 6,7,8,9,10 & 11 contributed 3 between them, and my no. 9 is a mediocre batsman.

Currently bowling and my opposition is 107-2 at the end of the 23rd over. Not bad. Should be able to restrict them to a little over 200 and should get that easily.

Cruising still:

End of Over 27: 193-0, runrate=7.15
Dickson 7-1-35-0
Wynand* 92 (85 balls)
Cuss 90 (78 balls)

Run rate has dropped a bit lately but should still be able to put up a very formidable total. Pleased that Wynand has finally come good, set him to very attacking today as well so wasn't expecting him to hang around all that long.

Finished them off easily in the end.

End of Over 40: 161-10, runrate=4.03
Butcher 9-0-37-3
Robinson* 1 (7 balls)

Not really, had I picked the side sensibly (i.e. Crouch over Cable) I might have been in with a chance of winning that. Someone would have stuck around with Fernandes while he notched up his maiden one-day fifty.

made from £197942 today's game. now all i require is my lads to bring home the bacon making us 2-0 so far this season.

currently in the midst of my 7th showdown with yodas yobos. currently, they are 91/1 after 21 overs. stage seems set for another tight encounter.

Heres how i'm going

End of Over 48: 278-1, runrate=5.79
Jackson 9-0-57-0
Buckle* 52 (48 balls)
Nutter 121 (119 balls)

Last Wicket: Dobinson c. Crawshaw b. Pearson 95 (FOW: 180/1)

24 taken of the last 2 overs
hopefully 20-30 of the next 2

Edit:48.2 W Thandiwe to Nutter
Nutter has mistimed his shot and Thandiwe and Crawshaw are appealing! The umpire seems to be nodding, and he's out - leg before wicket!

CRAP!!!

Won my match quite easierly:

Jaffna Jets: 5/337
Nurse 124 (130)
Ellis 83 (88)

Magic Dragons: 92 All Out
Rangana 4/15 (5) - MOTM
Kinsella 3/19 (5)

Thats Nurse 2nd hundred, first for us and thats Ellis's highest score. I think its also the highest score we have ever scored too.

41.3 W Mangweni to Pearson
That's plumb! Ball stayed low, struck on the pad in front and the umpire is left no other choice to give him. Unlucky.
41.2 W Mangweni to Thandiwe
Ohara resembles a coiled spring as he jumps up with ball in glove. A thin edge from Thandiwe and Mangweni is delighted with his keeper.
41.1 W Mangweni to Crawshaw
Crawshaw edges a ball on a good line and is given out.

Edit:41.6 W Mangweni to Wetherall
Spooned high into the air, and amazingly lands on his stumps
