I would bid on him but I'm about 100k short. I was hoping to find one or two new players before my final league match, but doesn't look like I will unless someone's listed in the next 12 hours or so. Specifically looking for an allrounder with high batting and high secondaries + stamina, and defensive or cautious temperament.

Looks like the only thing that will stop me from auto promotion into div 4 next season is this bowler, and the game is being played on an uneven pitch
Stephen Sawyer (343348)
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, fair
A destructive player with strong leadership skills and woeful experience.

Plays For: The Possums
Nationality: Australia
Age: 18 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 22,220
Wages: £2,141 p/w (£7,383)

Ne one have an idea on wot level his bowling would be at? Im guessing quality...
And im thinking maybe i should jus thro this match so i can see wot league i will be going into next season by playing a qualifier and if it looks like a difficult one i could thro that one aswell so i stay in Div 5 n pile up some cash. Ne ideas or am i jus goin crazy cause i dont think my bowlers would be up to Div 4 standard cause i will only have 1 strong n the rest comp unless if i YP some good ones...

I'm doing the same thing. I'll have a playoff, I'll check out the league I'm going into and if it's too hard then I'll throw the game. If not, then I'll GFI and hope I get in.

Not sure whether it would be better to go mediocre in Div 4 or dominate in Div 5 to be honest... my members joining per update thingo has been cut down alot (only 9 per update now) so I'm seeing reaons why not to stay in Div 5 accumulating cash.

I plan to throw my relegation match and go back to division 5 and regroup next season. Little cash and no members has screwd my team up, plus team morale is rock bottom.

So how does promotion work?

I gather the top 32 1st place teams get automatic promotion, but what about us guys in the bottom 32, who do we play in the playoff?

Yea, if you're in the bottom half of the promotion table you play a play-off.

@Marc - A fair bit, 600k+. I've seen similar bowlers sell for anything from 500-900k lately. Saw a 19yo strong/med/med with med batting go for 969k yesterday, so his batting might be worth a little bit extra though his stamina might bring the price down.
Sold him for the listed £800k - fairly pleased with that as I can build up the stadium and look for a couple of additions.

My game for friday is gona be so rigged so i lose. Nebody got some really stupid orders you want me to try out? Im prob gona bat Kennedy and Jayasuriya at no. 7 and 8 on very defensive so they play for there averages or maybe even no. 10 and 11 lol.

If you really want to make sure you lose I'd suggest you don't play them at all - if you play them down the order you could lose early wickets and have them come in after 20 overs and make big scores, even if they're on v. defensive.

BTW do you mind if I post your sponsors' income formula on JFW? I'm trying to work out the rate of diminishing returns on additional PRs but I need more data to go by.

I'm currently at 26912 with 4 PR officers (sponsors' confidence = ecstatic) - had 1072 club members when this last update occurred. Previous week I was 26484 with 1047 club members, other stuff the same. Anyway if you work things out from that you get:

1 club member = 17.12 sponsorship income/week

With the overall amount per week being:

8560 + 17.12*no. club members

Can't remember what brenoevo's formula was so I'll let you see if it works out.

Interesting, I had 4 PRs last week so I can apply that formula to last week's income. Had 1864 members at the time, so 8560+17.12*1864 = 40,471.68. My income was 40,471 last week so that formula works as well.

4 PRs: 8560 + 17.12 x members
5 PRs: 8999 + 18 x members

Should be able to work out the rest.

For the record here's the sponsorships monies I've collected:

Sponsorship: (3)-14893, (3, ecstatic)-16679, (4, ecstatic)-18652, (4, ecstatic)-19067
(4, ecstatic)-19463, (4, happy [bloody reset])-11282, (4, joyous)-18283, (4, ecstatic)-19842
(4, ecstatic)-20440, (4, ecstatic)-20924, (4, ecstatic)-21413, (4, ecstatic)-21894,
(4, ecstatic/happy)-22374, (4, joyous)-18630, (4, joyous/ecstatic)-22029, (4, ecstatic)-23110
(4, ecstatic)-23526, (4, ecstatic)-23824, ???, (4, ecstatic)-24378, (4, ecstatic)-24652,
(4, ecstatic)-25063, (4, ecstatic)-25457, (4, ecstatic)-25816, ???
(4, ecstatic)-26484, (4, ecstatic)-26912

I reckon the 4th PR officer gave me a jump of ~1558. Not sure if they go all the way back to the start or not and whether I've missed any others out.

Moodley making his first Under 19 appearance for India today. :)

Out of interest, how often will World Cups be? If they're every year, he should be a star at the next one.

Yeah I thought he bowled quite well. The NT coach had him on defensive and he's a destructive player so he probaby would have been better off on attacking or very attacking.

Swagat Moodley - 18 yo, BT Rating=40,538
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, moderate
An attacking player with abysmal leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: feeble Concentration: strong
Bowling: quality Consistency: superb
Fielding: competent

Only problem is that I haven't been able to train him for a couple of weeks.
