All i can think about right now is my game against Onslow CC
Since the purchase of West indian Stu "Black magic" Mangweni
my fortunes in bowling have turned from not so good to quite promising
if i win by a fair bit and knock the weak competition for the following 2 weeks after that
i could have a nice shot at 2nd place earning my an extra$15 000 than i would if i came in
3rd which i am at now

Interestingly enough, I can confirm that every single stat contributes to the wage, so basically it's a more-cost-inflicting BTR clone...

Yeah I checked that this morning as well, will make it a lot more difficult to tell when people are close to pops etc (except for the next few weeks, when it will actually make it a bit easier as we have two sets of wages to judge by).

Saw a mediocre bowler with phenomenal consistency (conc was quality or so I think) on the transfer market a few days ago, his wage has only gone up to 17k - had strong fielding and I think superb stamina as well. So a single elite secondary presumably costs no more than 20k - I guess the reason why McCloud, Ardley etc. have huge wages is because they've been trained well beyond 'just' elite. Matt Conn is only 55k and he has double-elite secondaries or very close to it, as well as better fielding and primaries than McCloud, who is at 80k.

Match started, Aldred AND Bardle, probably my 2 best players both rested, and I'm on a TIE :-O

It's a really new team though, and if 2 of my batters fire together, and the bowlers I've selected don't muck up, I should win.

I guess he only cost you 20k or so but you should really sell him, he's useless. Don't know if anyone will want to touch him now that his wage has gone up though.

I hope that bracketed wage updates after the training, would be damned useful in working out the new training times. Anyway in my game my opponents are 63-2 off 18 overs on a green pitch, they've got a very flat batting order (competent-med-feeble before the ratings changes) so their innings will probably drag on a bit.

Interesting over in my 4th spot rival's game Yo yos love machine v The Family Ness (197733):

Code:
44.6 [B]W[/B] Williams to Meadows
[B] [COLOR="Red"]Anyone would think he doesn't feel like batting today, pathetic effort from Meadows off what was an average delivery. That won't matter to Williams though, a wicket's a wicket.[/COLOR] [/B]
44.5[B] 4[/B] Williams to Meadows
Pitched up, drives it on the front foot, down the ground for four.
44.4 [B]6[/B] Williams to Meadows
And that's in the air and six runs, brilliant shot from Meadows. I wonder what must be going through Williams's head after that shot.
44.3 [B]W[/B] Williams to Mcphee
[B] [COLOR="red"]Mcphee works that on the on side and ambles though for the run. But Tate swoops out from behind the umpire and catches Mcphee cold with a direct hit! [/COLOR][/B]
44.3 [B]nb6[/B] Williams to Mcphee
no ball, Up, up and away. He took the leather off the ball on that one.
44.2 [B]W[/B] Williams to Gradley
[B] [COLOR="red"]OUT! Good ball, hint of movement away, Gradley drives and gets an edge, Thompson takes an easy catch . [/COLOR][/B]
44.1 [B]1[/B] Williams to Swanton
    Runs it to third man.

Johnson attacks in the final over

Code:
49.6 W Johnson to Wasserman
[COLOR="Red"]Beautiful delivery finds an edge. Devapriya grabs it, the appeals go up. He's out.[/COLOR]
49.5 1 Johnson to Wilkinson
Gently played down to long on and Carrington runs around to keep it down to a single.
49.4 W Johnson to Tulley
[COLOR="red"]The long walk back to the pavilion begins now. Tulley was well beaten there! [/COLOR]
49.3 W Johnson to Hansen
[COLOR="red"]Played sharply down the leg side. Oh an amazing diving catch by Devapriya! [/COLOR]
49.2 1 Johnson to Wasserman
Comfortable single down to third man.
49.1 1 Johnson to Hansen
Strokes it into the leg side for a leisurely single.
Winers 287-7, about 100 more than I'd have wanted them to make :@

Now the chase, nervous, nervous, nervous

Looking good for guaranteed fourth place now, 100-0 after 17 chasing 215 for victory. The other team I need to win is 97-0 after 16 on a flat pitch chasing 243.
