Can't really tell from that, as I don't know what training he has received and for how long. Just wait till the wage recalculation (on Friday I assume) and you'll have a much more accurate guess.

Ah okay. What's the story behind the wage recalculation? I've not seen anything about it...

Wages just get updated at the start of the season to reflect skill changes (i.e. training). Can't remember what time it happened at the start of last season, but I assume it'll be at the same time as the players' 'birthdays', i.e. Friday.

Damn it!!!!

I was bidding on a 17 year old bowler (feeble stamina, competent bowl, feeble consistency) who was also a feeble bat and then my mum came in and kicked me off the computer, and he ended up going for only 1k more than my last bid... And I really need a new bowler

Rant over

Why not get an allrounder instead? ;)

3. Reon Berry £ 625,000 (opening price)
Plays for: Asterix XI Stamina: feeble W/Keeping: worthless
Age: 23 years old Batting: strong Concentration: woeful
BT Rating: 10,722 Bowling: competent Consistency: worthless
Deadline: 13/01/2006 11:11 Fielding: mediocre
I'll be thrilled if I can get him for that much, but if I don't I'll just keep re-listing him for progressively smaller amounts until I get rid of him.

Haha just a bit out of my price range there. The guy I wanted ended up going for only 56k, which would have been about half of my bank account....

Got a bot in the cup, going to TIE, even if I lose I'm not too bothered about the cup to be honest, would rather concentrate on the league.

Go to Fixtures >> Click on the game in question >> Top right of screen should have team name you're playing >> Go to their fixtures lists (top-right again) >> Click on their last game >> Click on Reporter's Summary.

Bingo. :)

They haven't come through for anyone yet. Opinions are that you might get them at the end of each week which would mean we get them on Friday (Financial Update?) or Monday (Training Update?).

Don't think anyone knows for certain yet though. :)

Yep, apart from if any friendly on 08/01/06 the ratings you'll see could be somewhat off to what they'll do against you, because the team morale & team fitness were reset a day or two before then, so the team ratings might well be of teams who've played on GIF (go for it) or they might have had really high team fitness & morale and have since fallen. Look at a few games to get a general picture, use common sense (if they've won a string of games they'll obviously have better morale as they go on, if they've got no manager listed they're a bot team and so on)

The problem is, they are first in their league, but when i checked their squad, they didnt seem to have any good players, and they don't have a manager. So im sorta scratching my head now

Players have aged and wages have been recalculated... I think my wage bill might actually go down (I'm still paying Emmanuel's 2700ish wage this week, but not next week)

Think mine have gone down too by about £300. :)

My gun-guy Singh has wages of 389 quid which is splendid news because I'd expect to him greatly improve over the season. 'Keeper is costing a fair crack though unfortunately.

Some of my players' wages rose a fair bit as expected.

Cuss - £7,747 (up from £4,405 last season). He's about £750 pounds short of the base wage for remarkable players, so a little way to go in his training still.

Badley - £1,777 (up from £857), should be up to strong in a couple of weeks judging by that.

Malik - £952 (up from £528)

A few other guys went up one or two hundred due to them receiving a couple of nets at various times. Looking at the national squads, the wages of the England two WK's have gone up to around 25k and 20k respectively. NZ have a WK who gets over 23k as well. Edit: the Aus U19 WK gets £36,249 p/w.

Australia's coach has been raving about how they've got the highest primary-skilled bowler in the world in Greg Summers - well quite clearly they don't anymore, because Adam Janes (WI) commands more than him. As does another bowler in the WI squad in fact, so I'm quite happy with the wage update.
