anyone want a friendly?
yup why not, i'll most likely rest a few players though.

Challenge Clapo's XI, my place might be best for income as well :)

Had an easy victory today as expected, after Orourke & Meyer, who made 103 & 99* respectively, lead me to 4-325, the opposition was boweld out for 63, Savage & Verhoeven taking 3, Beer & Meyer 2, to give me a 262 run victory.

My batting was okay but I really need to attack more in the middle overs. The majority of the bowling was horrible so I'm going to change the pitch for my next match to suit my bowlers who are mostly fast.

Think my game is going to be a tighty. Let them get off to an absolute flyer, then pegged them back and now the aptly named 'Thabang' is boshing my bowlers about at the death.

Will struggle to get the 300 they have set but that doesn't really bother me because I'm safe from relegation and I don't want a chance of promotion. :)

Won my match pretty easierly today with some good ratings

Symonds XI 144 All Out Jeithoon 3/17(6), Dowdall 3/33(10), Sisk 2/36(10)

lost to

Jaffna Jets 1/145(24.3) Lucas 80*(79), Ellis 51*(52)

Ratings on PAN

Top: Strong
Middle: Competent
Lower: Abysmal
Seam: Proficient
Spin: Respectable
Fielding: Woeful

First time i ever got a Proficient seam rating, considering i started at competent this season, i'm pretty happy with the progress of my pace attack. Sisk and Jeithoon must be close to poping in bowling one would think.

Haha, my top of the table opposition threw our game today, god knows why.

On TIE, I got 384, then skittled them for 113. A bit miffed tbh, but I'll take the points.

Batting first:

End of Over 21: 116-0, runrate=5.52
Shipp 1-0-6-0
Wheat* 58 (66 balls)
Packer 58 (60 balls)

They bowled their opening bowlers through, but their best bowler (Chanderpaul, all-rounder) will be on shortly unless he's being rested for some reason. It's on a dusty pitch and I switched Summers to opening 5 and death 5 just for variety.

Decent start in a crunch match, have them 93-3 after 27 on a hard and fast pitch. 2 of their top 3 batsman are already out whilst the third has just come in. they're bowling is stronger than their batting but i reckon i should chase 220 or less pretty easy.

Attritional stuff in my match, Victoria Drivers batting, 103/1 after 26. Beginning to bottle up the RR a bit now, but could still be looking at a tough chase unless I can inspire a collapse soon.

But on the plus side, Who's Your Daddy are also looking in a spot of bother, 116/4 after 27 against 3rd place Wrong'uns. Although that's not all good, as a defeat for The Gurs and Who's Your Daddy, and a win for Wrong'uns would bring them into the title mix going into the last match of the season!

BTW, does anyone know why Don'tcloseyoureyes has been banned?!?!

Later, Trev

But magically lost Armstrong next over to a strong's first ball of a spell, then Obrien first ball. What a load of bull.

Playing away against the #2 side in my league, and I've lost three in a row so far.

By some miracle, my lot managed to bowl 'em out for 108, and are currently 47/2 off 12 -- McGregor and Reed at the crease, with Sandwith next in. Should be a reasonably straightforward win from here, against a much superior team.

End of Over 1: 4-0, runrate=4.00, reqrunrate=3.47 (173-10)
Duffy 1-0-4-0
Findlay* 1 (5 balls)
Nevin 1 (1 balls)

Opened with Nevin instead of Coates to save a bit of PFL.

Collapse of 16 runs for 6 wickets, but I had runs on the board allready. Aldred makes an unbeaten 99...
