Alright I guess... but these are assuming that ratings count for much.

Oh cool, got Wheat with was going to be my only bid, twice that's happened now. Not a brilliant buy or anything, just you can't 'make' these players anymore and so they're fairly rare
Yeah, I had a 2.08m bid on him last night. Annoying that the deadline was 5am here so I couldn't up the bid.

Things have been slow of late at D.C.C with a very dissapointing collaspse in the league on friday when we realy should have won. Bowled them out for 144 with Unsworth and Causon picking up 3 each, Thorn 2 and Lovers 1. Things never got going with the bat and only Mansfield (50), Tucker (10) and Disley (11) made double figures and we crashed to a 40 run defeat. The YP was crap, which was to be expected since i have no ITS and am not investing in it.

Money situation is pretty good:
Current Balance: £3,136,236
Projected balance at next Update: £3,162,031

Might just sit on this till the end of the season or until i can get an alrounder or keeper/bat. Could have a buyer for Tucker at the end of the season who would be willing to pay up to 5mil, dont know yet whether im even thinking about selling him.

No pops in Mondays training update and not expecting any for a few weeks.

Am playing 5th placed One Winged Angels on Friday and will be looking for a much better outing then last round.

Got a big game coming up, against a team with two decent bats. The line-up, in terms of wages, goes:

667
940
2755
3745
818

Given that their two best batsmen are at numbers 3 and 4, do you think it'd be better to bowl Canning at b3 (I'm on sets of 5), so that he'd almost definitely get to bowl at at least one of his guns? The obvious problem being that any advantage gained from the new ball would be lost. Last time I played them (a game I won by 1 wicket), I bowled Canning at 3, and he took 1/28 off his 10, including the better of the two good batsmen. Am playing at home on a hard and fast pitch, if that matters.

Someone hurry up and take him over the amount of money I'd have had if I hadn't bought someone else...

Still a decent price in my opinion

Just bought this guy, partly for the name and partly because I'm ridiculously short on batsmen at the moment and he cost 2k.

Bowling first on my newly Green pitch against dgaust's Freudian Slips. Off to a great start, with Rayno taking advantage of the conditions and just as I was refreshing the page to see the last few balls of the end of his spell I was just wishing he'd strike before the end of his spell, and he did - he's removed his strong/superb WK batsman and on the 2nd last ball of his spell, his strong/strong specialist bat. Now there's only profs & resps and of course, his star allrounder, who I'd say is now remarkable/quality (or at least quality/quality).

End of Over 13: 63-2, runrate=4.85
Rayno 7-0-35-2
Donovan* 32 (34 balls)
Cliffe 0 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: San c & b. Rayno 22 (FOW: 63/2)

Might also add that it's Mcmillan's first competitive game as skipper, not a bad start but there's much to do.

It's last (me) vs 3rd last at the mkoment. So far we've played the top 3 teams in the league and I have a feeling we're not the worst in our division.

Lost 2 wickets chasing it down in 15 overs. Very happy with the match, apart from losing those two wickets. Our openers seem to do well in friendlies but can't put on more than 30 in league matches.

Should've got them out for less than 251, but it was alright. Rayno was on fire with 10-0-50-4, all key wickets, and Mcmillan did solidly with 10-0-45-3. Hopefully this green pitch doesn't offer much to spinners, and I need these two to score big.
