Fine, have upgraded my academy to superb and am using 35 ITS. Have gone 7 stamina, 11 bat, 11 bowl and 3 for conc and cons. If this guy's rubbish, I'm blaming Greg, Rodgie and Jamee.

Meh...

Dougie Peters (1003928)
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A steady player with proficient leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Magical Ponies

Wages: £608 p/w
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: woeful
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: woeful

Not bad. Are you going to keep him or...?

Doubt he will Greg not good enough in a good V Side even you will fine that Comp is just not good enough and Resp later on will not be either.

Unlucky Andy in any case.

Unblock me on MSN!

Mate im sure you'll find that resp players will always be good enough to bat at 6-8 or be 4th or 5th bowler. I think your getting way too carried about getting players who have one or two skills higher. There is nothing wrong with comp players, your probably better off havin g a comp player with high secondaries, then a respectable player with low secondaries.

mmm yeah i may be but I only have one comp in my team atm and im still pretty bad so im just saying that even Resp wont win you V leagus oh well Im improving though.

Not all Div 5 leagues are the same, Rodgie. In some, respectable or proficient sides would struggle, whereas in others a largely mediocre side would dominate.

TBH your not really that bad, when you look at where most people where at the same stage. As Jamee said resp would win most Div V, as long as they have half decent secondaries. Your problem is that most of your players have average secondaries. I had the same problem a couple seasons ago, especially stamina, so i brought in alot more well rounded players, who were only respectable.

Im no trying to have a go out you, just trying help, cus its seems to me that spend a lot of money you got need to. Then again i probably do the same.

yeah i guess in your case you dominate div 5 but struggle in div 4 right?
Im in Sri Lanka so its a bit different. I started in Div 4 and im in Div 3 now. I pretty much dominate my league, but there team better then me. If i get up to Div 2, its pretty much the same as Div 3, In Australia and England. Div 3 (SL) probably below Div 4 in Aus and Eng. Maybe if i was in Div 4 over there i would struggle a bit, but its hard to till.

What are your ratings like mate?

Just Bid on Hinshelwood Jamee's allrounder hes handy in many cases IMO bid 300 k on him.

Kirk Hinshelwood - 22 yo, BT Rating=6,504
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
An attacking player with competent leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: woeful
Bowling: competent Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

will prob train him a bit maybe a fielding net.

not worth v300k unless he was 17 or 18 because his secondaries are all very low and his primary will take a while to train so is a bit of a waste.

i disagree I asked around to a few people and they seem to think between 300 - 400 k
why bother with a player who will only ever be good in div 5, very short term minded imo.

On TIE:

Top: Respectable
Middle: Mediocre
Lower: Absymal
Seam: Mediocre
Spin: Mediorcre

I going to play GFI next round and im hoping my seam and spin go up to competent. My three strong 19yo are about six weeks away from superb, so i should get proficient top order then. I would probably struggle in Div 4 this season, if i was in Aus or Eng. But i think i would be competitive by next season.

Your better off buying a young 17yo, who would be solid in Div 5 and then a gun by the time you move up.
