BARNES OUT
Hmm, I tend to agree. I'm not going to mention the collapses but I hate it when your batsmen are stroking boundaries twice and over and then it turns to over 40 and they hit 6 1's an over.

Drives me nuts.

Oh well I've got them 3-3 now, skittling them for nothing would really improve my NRR.

Any future Nile buyers might like to know he scored a 150 in his last innings.

Edit: 4 runs for 5 wickets now. Pace 3, Horne 2.

UPDATE: Reed's just gone, leaving the tail with next to no protection. I'm in A LOT of trouble here.
Having been 156/6 with Gonasilan, my Feeble/Resp batsman, left all on his own with the tail, I'm quite pleased with my eventual 215ao.

My opponents are 18/0 off 5 overs. I really need some wickets!

Bah, their last wicket put on 10, so they made 26 all out. Pace took 7-13 including a hattrick. Scorecard to follow...

My opponents are 72/1 after 20 overs, chasing 215ao. They're some way behind the RR, but it still looks like my first league defeat of the season :(

Yea, I expect with that stamina they'll go for more than they're worth, their stamina is superfluous anyway as they're only a (weak) medium pacer who can bat a little.
I would rather a proficient plus bowler, but im really just looking for a player to give me more squad options. I don't really want to spend that much on this player either, as they are likely to be replaced in two seasons anyway. I just want a bowling all rounder (i use the word all rounder losey) with an attacking or steady temperment. I really just want to play five bowlers, but still be able to have someone who hold a bat at eight. Currently my 5th bowler is a competent/feeble with respectable stamina. He does alright but struggles against good sides. Also my current bowling attack has 4 defensives and one cautoius, so i want a more aggresive bowler. If that Reeves guy doesn't go for too much, then he would be perfect for me.

End of over 39: 158/1 RRR=5.27
End of over 40: 166/2 RRR=5.00
End of over 41: 171/3 RRR=5.00

Both big scoring batsmen gone...last two bowlers are Brooker (qual/qual/att) set attacking and Gibb (strong/strong/cautious) set v.def (maybe just def).

I reckon it's 60:40 in my opponent's favour right now. Eeek!

Hmm, my batsmen making a complete mess of an easy target yet again:

End of Over 18: 77-4, runrate=4.28, reqrunrate=2.63 (160-10)
Britz 2-0-8-2
Watkins* 34 (47 balls)
Boeta 4 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Challis c. Kenworthy b. Britz 0 (FOW: 73/4)

Whitehorne took 7-25, which was somewhat surprising considering he wasn't bowling in the last 10 (I set the wrong bowling orders). Anyway, if Watkins stays in we should get to the target. Whitehorne to come in next then varying degrees of useless batsmen after that.

And Watkins gets run out.

I don't really care who gets the runs, as long as they get them. Comp/feeble and a resp/woeful to come (then worthless/worthless x2) so kind of important that Whitehorne stays in though. 41 more.

FFS, Whitehorne gets out with a few runs to get, meaning we'll almost certainly lose. Second week in a row he's done that.

That's absolutely brutal, that guy can't even have decent secondaries. I know your other middle order bats are crap, but the pitch is obviously high scoring and the bowling is as crap anyway, so that's no viable excuse.

For the record I'm 152-0 after 22 against a team I should flog.

Oh and get in there... the team that overtook me on NRR last week got rolled for 56...
My middle batsmen can hold a bat and are certainly better than that bowler. I just think its crap that that kind of bowler can get out an exceptional and wonderful batsmen in the same over.

Scaly piscine

I have no objections to someone that crap getting out one of those bats (we all know that even against minnows teams like Australia will usually lose some wickets), getting two bats of that calibre out is a bit of a stretch and in that situation very unlikely because they've no need to try and hit sixes or anything. The collapse overall was just ridiculous, teams do not lose 8-8 in a 300 a side match.

GotSpin

True. I seem to get alot of collapses because of my middle order. However, its not often that i have collapses of that calibre against such a terrible bowler.
