Mine's up and running; your team page keeps timing out for me, so I can't get to your match. It's always a bit slow for the first league match of the season, though.

My lot are making a tolerable start against last season's league winners. I'm on a GFI, plan is to peg them back as much as possible (I'll never skittle them) and try to tonk their slightly worse bowling on a flat pitch. Taken an early wicket, but am going for some runs. This'll be a high scoring match...

End of Over 9: 46-1, runrate=5.11
Oleary 5-0-24-1
Shirley* 15 (21 balls)
Connelly 15 (15 balls)

Still nothing for me. Seems like something's up with the battrick page cos my computer is really struggling to go anywhere with it - fine with all the other stuff I have opened though. Really annoying...

Walkover in my opening match today. The team that beat me both games last year is still in my league though, so I doubt I'll have a shot at promotion.

Got put in to bat:

End of Over 28: 140-3, runrate=5.00
Bopp 4-0-21-0
Packer* 60 (83 balls)
Dillon 52 (56 balls)

Last Wicket: Obrien c. Mansfield b. Longrigg 26 (FOW: 52/3)

Lost my best two batsmen out first ball in the first over... I believe the technical term for that is bollocks.

You lost two batsmen in the first ball of the first over? BT really does hate you. :p

Can't get onto my game at the moment, which sucks. Can anyone else find out for me?

You lost by 22 runs, I'm afraid. Was unlucky; your batsmen just couldn't quite stick with the RRR at the end. Centuries for your openers, but they fell just at the start of the slog.

Them: 329-9
You: 307-6

Edit: hot Jesus, you ran them close, given the gap in ratings:

Oh well, that's not as bad as I thought it would be. Gutting to get so close and then fall short, especially as I was ahead of the RRR for first 15 overs.

Thanks very much. :)

Having one of the most comfortable outings ever, this season should be a walk in the park for mine.

Last few overs have gotten smashed, to the extent where one bowler has 4-0-42-0. Edit: now 5-0-56-0 heh...

Dillon gets his maiden (competitive) ton (can't check the friendly stats). Oleary 6.2-0-67-0.

I think there's an element in the engine where someone bowls absolutely awfully every so often.

Before someone like marc nitpicks I meant awfully relatively speaking. That's the only thing I can think of when Summers bizarrely gets 0-50 type figures against weak batting, when I had Horne he got 0-90odd once.

Anyway shame we're back with the old OD rubbish death overs, BT20 engine was flawed but it was at least interesting and most of the way there.

Oleary will probably go for less in these death overs than he did in the 25-40 overs

Bowled the other guys out for 99, with my spin bowler Connelly taking 6-19 in 10.

They've opened the bowling with two spinners, which seems a bit odd? No alarms yet though!

Boooooooooo, his penultimate over went for 6 singles unfortunately. Dillon's score must be a record of some sort coming in at number 5.

No way in hell should I have won this match, on PAN, against an Indian-NT spinner.

The margin of victory - 26 runs. Both my openers scoring centuries, and Mohammed really took them to the cleaners with an unbeaten 155.

Going nicely here.

My opponents made 269-5, which on a flat pitch isn't too spectacular; he made 329 on the same surface at the end of last season, and I almost chased that.

*crosses everything*

Preview: Crap, there goes Bromby. Not looking so hot now, especially since Platt's down to competent bleeding batting form. This could really stuff my season; I play third place next week, and gambling on a GFI for this one could leave me with wrecked TFL and morale. Erp.

Finally managed to load battrick after half an hour of trying. Got a big match against NorCricket first up, will probably come down to whether or not my batting holds up, pitch and weather conditions aren't in my favour. Will be annoyed if my bowlers don't do well though, paying them enough.
