Liebenberg gone; I'm stuffed at 15-2. Bugger. Of all the matches to get early failures in.

Edit: Platt too. This is turning into a rout. Dammit. After I ran them so close last time!

Edit edit: now Janes! This is the single worst collapse I've ever had, and it's coming on a flat pitch on a GFI. Balls. Just ... balls.

Sorry mate, that's got to be pretty gutting... :(

Just finished my match, won by 10 wickets chasing 99 so nice and easy. My openers contrived to prevent each other from reaching 50, with Grant on 49* and Gardiner 48*!

Got Summers and Dillon bowling the last 10, so they shouldn't threaten the target.

Unbelievable. All over, not a single player getting to double figures. The ratings really don't indicate this sort of disaster. Humph. I'm going to sulk now, I think. Or declare beer o'clock, one of the two.

And that's the end of the match. Spurs Magic won by 227 runs.

Sitting pretty on the top of the table. Now all i have to do is hold this position for the next 13 games

I played the 2nd easiest team today, next week i have the easiest, then i have 5 weeks of coin flip games. Hopefully i get out of the cup this week, so that i can have some TF to play with. That said, im not throwing the match, just TIE'n a match i would have to GFI to have a big chance. Could still win, and go to round 3, but its unlikely.

Really need my 4 quality's to be exactly that all this season, would love to finish top 4 at least, and i certainly dont want to head back to Div V for another season.

Reasonable start, lost Cuss early but Ashton and Gilligan saw off the openers. Rest of the bowlers are superb so it should be plain sailing for a while. Would prefer Gilligan to get out soon, already done the job he was there for. 250ish should be a decent total.

End of Over 14: 66-1, runrate=4.71
Nightingale 2-0-13-0
Ashton* 37 (38 balls)
Gilligan 20 (36 balls)
Last Wicket: Cuss c. Carey b. Dissanayake 8 (FOW: 17/1)

Edit: though if he keeps carrying on like this, he can stay in for a while:

15.3 4 Nightingale to Gilligan
Straight off the meat of the bat for four runs.
15.2 4 Nightingale to Gilligan
He seems to be batting by numbers. We’ll have a four this time please!!!
15.1 6 Nightingale to Gilligan
A pre-empted slog, and it has paid off, the ball just cleared the rope.

Edit: nah, he's out now.

Warickshire 99ao (37) Connelly 6-19, Liddle 2-21
The Heath CC 102-0 (22.4) Grant 49*, Gardiner 48*

Pretty easy win for me against a team that's even newer than my own I think. Looks like there are a few of them in my league, so I fancy myself to do quite well this season.

Connelly was MoM, breaking a promising 3rd wicket partnership to take them to 58-3, and proceeded to bowl a very economical 10 overs, including 3 wickets in his last over to help clean up the tail. Note to self - setting spin bowlers to very defensive on uneven wickets apparently works...

Grant and Gardiner eased towards the total with no major alarms other than a bit of dodgy running. Would have liked them to get there a bit faster, and it would have been nice if one of them had been able to reach 50, but can't complain. Very encouraging start!

I had a TIE after scoring 302. I still don't get this game, my best bowler e/r wise was my worst bowler in terms of stats. If i don't get a decent rookie soon, i might buy a proficient bowler, cus im bowling line up sucks.

Started the season on TIE with an expected comprehensive victory, should have won by more had i realised all my bowlers were set on V Defensive.

Youth pull time. I predicted on MSN that i would get a double med/woe allrounder, and thats what i got, my last 2 Youths make up for it though. Time to start saving it up again.
