Bobisback

International Regular
bobisback won the toss and elected to bat.
What the? my default orders are to bowl first, so ****.

Anyway, im out of the T20, set 197 to win, they chased it in 19.3, kinda depressing, but ratings show i should have lost easily

Lost my game. They made 1/186 and after a good opening partnership I lost three wickets in three balls- Kilkenny, Tedstone and Canning, and so I ended on 5/167

:p

I noticed him but he'll probably go for >13m won't he?

What are the rules about mailing people to say that if they put a player on the market for less then I'd bid? Have an inkling it's against the rules but not sure.

Couple of players I'm looking at who are still on their opening price.

I would've gone to 14.5m for him given how much money I've got (had). There's no problem with mailing people whose players are on the market.

Sorry to pester but what if the player has gone off the market? Then does it become wrong?

I didn't realise the difference you can command from a bowler to a bat was that great. That's insane! Might just be worth me buying a batsman then.

I got knocked out the cup last night, bit annoying that I lost 7 wickets for 1 run. But the ratings were pretty uneven as my PFL has died.

I'm predicting losses in the next 14 league games so except for the cup, the last round might be the last game I win for several months.

There's no hard and fast rule as far as I'm aware, just that mailing people about players they've shown no intention to sell is frowned upon. So if they've either put them on the market at some point recently or advertised them then I'd suggest it would be fine.

Probably going to happen to me a fair bit next season now that I'm back to four batsmen again.

I think I'm going to try and challenge Rodgie.
I wouldn't if he beats you it would be worse then losing to Smith, you really never hear the end of it. Then again your probably not as unlucky as me to have him on your MSN.

I was going to say, best time to challenge him IMO, whilst he is banned. :D

Somehow this competent-feeble batting lineup made 108 on a uneven pitch on a partially cloudy and humid day... chased it down in 8.2 overs. Did rest 3 batsmen and 1 bowler tho.

As for Rodgie the match engine is demonstrating why it's crap again, he's bowling and they're at 129-1 after 14 overs (usual lack of wickets) and the next 4 overs go for 22-0... with half of the deliveries dot balls, as if.

Looks as though I'm going out to a Div IV team :(

They're 152/2 chasing my 163/4, with two whole overs left.

UPDATE: 4 to win from 8 balls. Where's that fat lady gone...?

UPDATE: Wicket! Still 2 from 4 balls required.

UPDATE: Wicket! 2 from 3...

UPDATE: 1 run. Scores tied, decent batsman at the crease.

UPDATE: Dot ball! 1 ball, 1 run.

UPDATE: Six and out. Bugger.

I'm through to the 4th knockout round. In the last round we had to face an Aussie div II outfit, which included a batsmen from the Aussie NT side. We were able to restrict them to 163/0 from their 20 overs, with the Swanton (the NT guy) only making 67* (48). From there Duggan and Fry saw me past their total without the loss of any wickets, Duggan scoring 96 off of only 54 balls. We won with 13 balls to spare.

We're facing an English div III side next up. We should win that as well. I was hoping to draw Jamee's 999ers, so fingers crossed they make it through to the next round.

Nah, got an Aussie III team, who are so much better than me I'd need a Bardle 10-fer to have a chance. Maybe we could play a friendly sometime?
