12.1 6 Pace to Maughan
Wow! One wonders what the ball did to offend Maughan, he smacked that with aggression and it ripped through the air for six.

End of Over 12: 60-2, runrate=5.00
Tynan 1-0-9-0
Maughan* 14 (23 balls)
Hocking 40 (40 balls)
Last Wicket: Gravey b. Pace 4 (FOW: 8/2)
11.6 6 Tynan to Hocking
Hocking whacked that all the way out of the ground!

Wish Scaly would come on, love to see him see this before i get bowled out for like 80

EDIT:

12.5 W Pace to Naylor
Big appeal... yes, he's given him! Pace is overjoyed, Naylor doesn't look too happy about it... and yes, looking at the replay, the umpire's made a clanger there, he's missed the ball by a long, long way...
12.4 W Pace to Allison
Allison didn't see that one, straight through the gate. Great bowling by Pace.
12.3 . Pace to Allison
Pitched up outside off stump. Watchfully defended into the covers from the crease.
12.2 W Pace to Maughan
What a pearler! A fast, inswinging yorker takes leg stump. Maughan had no chance.

I wish sometimes i would leave my mouth shut.

Thought it was worth noting that Bertos has made centuries 4 of the last 5 matches, the one were he didnt was when we were chasing a low total and he was 30* off 20.

Lost by 8 wickets against Viveash, and suffered from a good ol bt collapse. After cruising at 3/269, and 300 looking a possiblity, Stevens triggered a collapse of 7/10 to have me all out for 279. Stroud managed to make 118, Meyer 92 & Nieuwenhuis 48, but after them, no others made it into double figures. Stevens was the star with the ball taking 8/32 (bastard  )

Elvins & Wainwright then made a century open stand, before Wainwright feel with the score at 100, and Elvins at 131. But Nash and Blewitt steadied the Viveash ship and remained unbeaten as the passed the score in the 47th over. Verhoeven & Groves got belted for me, whilst Meyer & Savage were the best with the ball.

Well done Chaulk :)

Summers isn't get a net at the moment, will get one if I get promoted. I'm having him opening the batting just in case it helps with his form.

End of Over 30: 107-10, runrate=3.57
Dillon 4-2-14-4
Baker* 22 (48 balls)

Place your bets on how long Summers will last, I'm going 1 ball (he's worthless-superb).

Bobisback

International Regular
He will only be against a Superb-Strong and a Prof-Abys, so im going to say 8 balls.

EDIT:

0.2 W Poke to Summers
Out! Summers had a nibble and Baker takes a comfortable catch at waist height. Classic dismissal.
0.1 4 Poke to Summers
Overpitched outside off. Driven to the left of Wikus at mid off who misfields. He should have stopped that. The bowler gives him a glare as the ball rolls over the rope.

haha

Friendly vs. Mork going better than I expected. I made it past 40, so I'm happy. Tuck was amazing as always, figures of 7 overs, 3 maidens, 2 for 5.

I notice the distinct lack of updates after that... ;)

Memorable moment:

Bleh. What I thought would be a challenging friendly turned out to be a complete crapfest as the opponent put out what must be his third team. Coasting towards their total of 178 at more than 6 runs per over. Boring. Wish people would make it plain if they're not even going to bother in friendlies.

Roll on the BT cup, sez me.

Good start in my cup semi-final against NorCricket. Bowling first on a flat pitch, sunny weather.

Persaud 3 (7 balls)
Last Wicket: Leadbeater c. Bell b. Watkins 3 (FOW: 8/1)

Edit: followed by a shocking over from Crawford.

Won the Cricket Eelam Cup quite easierly in the end. A bit surprised how easierly considering only resp got into the game. I would have thought Thamba's mediocres and competents would have done better. Oh well im sure his side will improve.

Jaffna Jets 4/363(50) Obeysekera 135(126), Rosenior 111(93), Allison 71(57), Walcott 2/78(2), Douglas 1/57(10), Herath 1/76(10)

beat

Tamil Eelam CC 70 All Out Tailor 26(37), Cooskey 3/16(5), Obeysekara 3/18(4.5)

Our three resp batsmen made the most or their time in the middle all having career milestones with the bat. Rosenior got his 1st ever hundred and went from 32nd in the all time run scorers list to 20th. Allison moved into the Top 10 run scorers of all time for the club, jumping ahead of Hodge. Obeysekera passed the 500 mark, interesting that his scored 250 plus runs against Kyle and Thamba, minnow basher to the max.

And that's the end of the match. Jamees 999ers won by 8 wickets.

Pup 239-10 (D Kealey 10-0-46-4, G Bardle 10-1-29-2, D Laws 10-0-50-2)

Jamees 999ers 240-2 (D Kealey 110(109), M Warnock 108*(111))

The hard and fast wasn't a bad decision, try to remove Bardle, but Kealey and Warnock just lit up Pup CG.

Middle Order: competent mediocre
Lower Order: worthless abysmal
Seam Bowling: respectable strong
Spin Bowling: feeble competent

Still keeping the RR nice and low, though would really like to get Dewing out. He's scored centuries in our last two encounters and looks to be headed for another. Horne is nothing special, but they have a wonderful and a superb to come.

Meh, screwed over by ridiculous batting. A wonderful/strong, remarkable/superb, superb/exceptional and superb/mediocre conspired to get out for 32 runs between them in the most ideal batting conditions possible.

Yea I lost 6 batsmen on Friday on a flat wicket. That RFM should never be taking 3 wickets in 5 opening overs on a flat wicket.
