A bit of a late wabble from Victoria Drivers helped me to peg them back to 288/6, but it'll still be a tough chase.

Bewers and Cash were the most economical, with 1/49 and 0/45 respectively, whilst Wilde and Bent both took two for plenty. Bridges M bowled a dream first delivery and then 59 balls of dross, to end up on 1/54.

A win here would put me in a very handy position indeed for the championship, with the top two still to play each other, but that's looking quite a way off at the moment.

Stay tuned, Trev

Hmm someone in my division (with a very top heavy batting order mind) lost 9-24... looks like they're in a good position to beat on my two main rivals tho, they have my rival 34-4 chasing 232.

Meanwhile I've got my opponents 12-1 after 5 chasing 186. Summers doing diddly again.

I love it when a plan comes together :o)

335/3 after 50 overs
Reed 148 (124 balls)
Sandwith 108 (82)

Looks like they really cut loose in the last 20 overs:

30 overs - 158/3 RR=5.27
40 overs - 240/3 RR=6.00
50 overs - 335/3 RR=6.70

That's 82 from overs 30-40, and then 95 from 40-50. I _like_ flat pitches!

Playing a very good side, I decided to go for a flat pitch, with Reed and Sandwith dropped down to #4 and #5. It all went exactly to plan (well, almost - I wanted to chase), in that my top order saw out his best bowler while slowly losing their wickets, leaving my terrific twosome to slug it out for the rest of the innings.

I bloody well hope that I can defend that total.

And that's the end of the match. Roar CC won by 138 runs.
Roar CC 243-10
Ganja Men 105-10

Interestingly, I've been offered 8mil (or more if someone outbids obviously) for Swagat. Any thoughts?
I wouldn't sell him just yet, as mentioned before you'll get more money later on once people have more money. Also looking at your sqaud and other Indian II and III sides you could probably get away with just three good players, with two being all rounders.

I played one of the real sides in my league, they had a couple half decent players so i went PAN as i have a few TIEs coming up and only one match i need to GFI.

Symonds XI 239 All Out Muralitharan 5/43(9) , Sisk 2/43(10), Jeithoon 1/40

lost to

Jaffna Jets 0/241(38) Clayton 110(118), Lucas 125(116) MOTM

Rating were Proficient/Competent for batting and Competent/Competent for bowling. I rested one of my seamers so im not worried about the competent rating.

A bit concerned that my bowling attack could run through a feeble/mediocre batting line up without a BT collaspe, 7/30. Jeithoon being bowling very tight but is struggling to get wickets. Sisk doing a good job knocking over the top order batsmen. Sishayi is struggling on pitches that don't offer extra assistance to bowlers. Muralitharan was the shining light taking his first 5-fer, even if it was mainly tailenders.

Very very happy with Lucas club debut, getting a MOTM award in your first game is a fair effort. That also probably my highest ever opening stand too, so it looks like these two could be a pretty good combination at the top of the order.

Coasting to victory. Could probably have eked out more of a NRR gain with more attacking orders, but after my recent form I wanted to play it a bit safe.

Scaly mounting a fightback - going to be an exciting one... :)

Hmmm. Yerma 175/3 now off 32, chasing 335.

Two of their best batsmen in now, though - at least a match for Reed and Sandwith.

The RRR, having been hovering around 8.0, is finally climbing - they managed 8-an-over for a worryingly long period. But then, I managed 9 for the last 20.

If I get a wicket, I should win this.

Playing Saint Barth Blondes (third) at home on a flat pitch - hoping to nullify his two NT bowlers. Cuss run out early yet again. His good bowlers are still yet to come, so not a particularly great start.

End of Over 8: 49-1, runrate=6.13
Howson 4-0-30-0
Ashton* 17 (21 balls)
Watkins 10 (6 balls)
Last Wicket: Cuss Run Out 22 (FOW: 36/1)

Proper Brown Trousers time! I'm 230/5, with Resp/Sup cash and Resp/Woe debutant Mohammed at the crease. Into the last ten, needing exactly six an over, and no-one much good after these.

Greening and Noon got me this far, with a 119 third wicket stand. Greening 104, Noon 50'odd - Staveley hit a brisk 40 to get us on our way.

Pass the bog-roll, Trev

Looks as though you could be toast, Trev.

I've stopped worrying - I got my wickets, as the climbing RRR turned out to be too much. Yerma now 230/5 off 42, needing over 13 an over. Bring on the fat lady :)

Won quite easily today on GFI, probably wasn't worth a GFI but I wanted to be sure.

Chased 60 down in 8 overs for no loss. Can't believe I bowled them out for 60 on H+F.

Down to fourth in my league despite winning, but 2nd to 4th are all but tied. I now have two easy TIE wins in a row, while my main competitors for second have some tough matches. Should go past the halfway point in second place with decent TFL and morale. And this time round I hopefully won't mess up my GFI tactics.

Code:
1. Spurs Magic 6	6	0	0	24	13.64
2. Newcastle XI 6	4	0	2	16	6.08
3. Thirteenamo Kiev	6	4	0	2	16	5.89
4. Beard XI 6	4	0	2	16	5.75
That said; morale is a bit weird, innit. My record in league and cup this season reads WWLWWLLW; 5-3, and yet my morale is only happy, precisely where I started. It's not even like all my wins have been narrow, and all my losses hammerings. It confuses me muchly.

Well done on the recovery Scaly - one of these days I hope to see you being cheerful about a match while it's actually in progress. ;)

Their ratings don't quite represent them they are a fair bit better than the ratings as they have 5 fast bowlers which makes the Seam Bowling not really record it right.

Overall good win and im happy we are on Top of the league with a two game win buffer. And it also heavily improved our NRR we are now 201 in the promotion table when the top 128 get promoted saying that I should be fairly close or around to it if I keep on winning as teams drop games etc.
