That puts me 7th in my league interestingly, but I reckon I'll finish around 5th or 6th.

hmm, scaly, how much would it be worth financially, to be putting 2 batting nets and 2 keeping nets into a 17yo?? i purchased him for 1.12mil, so, hypothetically, if i was to sell 6 weeks later, what kind of price would be the minimum i would want in return?
It depends somewhat on if you've got spending money available, say you have like 1m or so to spend then you could easily find medium/high profs/strongs and get a profit of well over half a million on in a couple of months on one net. Also depends on what return you'd be getting on your nets if the nets weren't going on the 17yo - given how you'll have a good squad this would take quite a lot to overcome (unless you've lots of older players) because obviously adding a level of primary to superb+ finished article type players (as in good cons, stamina etc. - no deficiencies) would probably add around a million in value.

Anyway you should be looking at well over 50k a net return for it to be worthwhile, which would be in excess of a million in value for every 5 weeks of training. You should be looking to get in the region of 3m for that guy in 6 weeks.

Obviously you would get the best value per net if you didn't have duplicate nets. Whatever you get on the 17yo on 4 nets for 6 weeks, you could get the same on 2 nets for 9-10 weeks because he'd have the exact same primaries by then (with a bit better secondaries).

Interesting, should be close match on Sunday. Have to admitt im gutted to be below Andy. I wonder where i stack up next to some Div 5 sides in Australia and England i.e Mike, Justin, Dwyer. Smith etc.

EDIT: Looks like i just make the Top 50 in Sri Lanka, also looks like II.2 is easiest D2 in Sri Lanka, so i guess i've be tryng to get a playoff against one of those teams if possible.

Will have to rework my nets now that i picked up this guy for $1.37 million.

Edwin Fanyana (954796)
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
An attacking player with superb leadership skills and woeful experience.

Plays For: Dalmeny Cricket Club
Nationality: Australia
Age: 18 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 13,106
Wages: £2,672 p/w

Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: strong
Batting: strong Concentration: feeble
Bowling: worthless Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: worthless

Is 2 levels better in keeping and 4 in batting then current keeper Wilkey.

I currently have these guys in the nets:

Disley- 2xbatting,1xfielding
Giles- 2xbowling, 1x fielding
Tucker- 2xbatting,1x stamina
Lovers- 1xbowling

Its come time to remove Lovers from the nets and replace his bowling net with a keeping for Fanyana. I think i should put one of Tucker's batting nets on Fanyana and also give him the stamina net. Thoughts?

Having yet another good time vs a bot.

End of Over 50: 366-2, runrate=7.32
Atkin 10-0-95-0
Siyabonga* 43 (39 balls)
Livera 52 (33 balls)
Last Wicket: Reimann c. Murphy b. Brush 152 (FOW: 285/2)

Ghandi managed to hit his maiden 100 as well. His stamina has prevented him in he past I think. Always seems to make a run a ball 70ish before getting out.
Glad to see he cracked it.

Am getting hammered in my league match. To be expected, cause I rested Canning and Tedstone to get their fitness up.

End of Over 23: 164-1, runrate=7.13, reqrunrate=0.37 (173-10)
Erasmus 2-0-5-0
Hurstwick* 59 (48 balls)

Last Wicket: Brydon Run Out 21 (FOW: 40/1)

Surprised I made 173 tbh. Griffin hit 65*, that gun.

Finally got online (cheers for that update Geg). Decent win. Hodge took 4/7 from 5 overs, Pryde 3/25, Viduka 2/17 and Seneviratne 1/0 from two balls. Earlier Dylan scored 150* and Jephcott 111, with Keane making an unbeaten 48 from 30-odd balls.

Decent ratings for me on a TIE, bowling looking really good, though my top order has to be ridiculously close to resp considering Keane's now at 3 and he (should) be proficient next week.

Solid loss on TIE

Magical Ponies 173 (47.2)
Griffin 65* (98), Farmer 27 (42), Sutton 22 (51)

Backyard Sloggers 1/174 (25.4)
Erasmus 0/6 (3), Fernando 0/28 (5)

Magical Ponies Backyard Sloggers
Top Order: competent superb
Middle Order: mediocre respectable
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: feeble strong
Spin Bowling: respectable proficient
Fielding: woeful woeful

Goes to show the effect that Canning and Tedstone have on my team. And the distinct lack of backup players I have (my 'allrounder' was a comp bat, mediocre bowl). At least I sold out my ground.

Another easy TIE win. Kept them to 9/201, chased it down without losing a wicket, in 32 overs.

Should go up to second on the table today, as the guy who was sitting in second on NRR is playing the top team and looks set to lose.

I'm getting stuffed in my game at the moment. 162/4 after 38 overs, with one superb guy in and a couple of resps to come. Looking for 230 if the superb stays in but will probably get 180 all out.
