Sorry if you misinterpreted. As NZ won a series against the WI, I meant that Pakistan weren't the closest to beating Pakistan as I meant that another team had already beaten them. Yes, they deserve credit
I fully agree. having just 0.41 WPM hardly qualifies him as a Test All Rounder. After all, we are judging on performances in Tests otherwise the likes of Clive Rice would be highly rated.WG Grace took 9 test wickets, not sure he gets anywhere near the list, as awesome he was in first class cricket.
Yeah that is outstanding isnt it...if we were to look at it as an average for wickets taken per match - 5.1 wickets taken. Seriously very very good. Awesome player.Yup. In the 1980s, Imran Khan vs WI home and away took 51 wickets in 10 tests@16. Unbelievable.
Imran v West Indies in the 80sQuestion - what was Imran's stats with the bat like in the same period (1980s) vs West Indies, Home & Away?
So all up 409 runs @ 27.26. Not too bad considering he was doing so well with the ball.Imran v West Indies in the 80s
Home (7 Tests) 319 runs @ 26.58
Away (3 Tests) 90 runs @ 22.50
I don't think it's possible for his overall average to be higher than both his home average and his away average? So all up 409 runs @ 27.26. Not too bad considering he was doing so well with the ball.
It would improve my rating of him for sureI don't think it's possible for his overall average to be higher than both his home average and his away average?
This number is not rightImran v West Indies in the 80s
Home (7 Tests) 319 runs @ 26.58
Away (3 Tests) 90 runs @ 22.50
Yes of course I know NZ beat them in 1979/80. What I meant was pak came closest to beating them in the famous 15 year unbeaten streak after that .Fake news: NZ beat them in that period and drew 1-1 in 86/87
Correct.This number is not right
Home (7 Tests) 319 runs @ 29.00
Away (3 Tests) 90 runs @ 22.50
Which makes the overall 409 runs @ 27.26 as cricket ump stated above
Not really as he's about to be voted 4th best allrounder of all-time? I don't pick him this high as he only has 1.75 wpm, so I consider there are more balanced allrounders out there that can win a series with bat or ballDamn Kallis really underrated
