no, it just means u will get more rookies, enchancing the chance of getting better players...
So, I s'pose the ideal amount invested would be exactly where we get four rookies, as there's no benefit in putting in more money? :p

depends who you are, to increase ur chances of getting good rookies u would put maximum ammount and get 5 rookies, cause the chances of all 5 rookies u recieve being good enough to be retained is pretty unlikely

Well some teams have taken the opportunity to invest further in youth this season, A list of the new youth players which have come through the ranks are as follows...

All these rookies will be valued and their values will be revealed in the next day or so...

Nice:D I'm happy with that...Two bowlers, on good in both forms, one only good in FC, but thats ok...

I think i'll keep Mooney...

ND will be keeping both of theirs, these players should be a massive boost for club, bowling remains the weakness...

Very happy with Jansen, really looking forward to seeing him combine with Hawkins next season. Probably wont keep the other two, but i think the money was well spent to get a quality bowler like Jansen.

Hi Marc and Blewy

Is the reason that i do not have any new rookies (more than 2) because I only spent $350,000?

How much money did I have left over, and what can I do with it?

I am aiming to send them all out tonight UK time - it will summarise the rookies you have and how many you will be able to keep (following the rules on this thread)

One useless bowler, one nearly useless, and a half-decent wickie.

Oh well.

Oh, and I don't envy the Karnataka manager who has to find a first name to X Azharuddin :D

:@ racist :p just because his name is Azharuddin doesn't mean hes indian. maybe his parents liked the name xavier. or his father could be indian, while his mother might be from a country where 'xavier' would be used. didnt think of that now, did you!? :p

One of the extra rookies looks like a promising player. He will more than likely be kept. The other player can have fun in the academy.

Great. Money well wasted.

I hear the brickie that W Kerr signed up with as a labourer is after a new one given Kerrs lack of effort...

Gary Kirsten has lost his job at Western Province as youth development officer, after Province reportedly piled on hundreds of thousands of dollars into youth development. The announcment was made after yet another two dud players were produced out of the Western Province Cricket Academy. Western Province are believed to have offered his position to former Province batsman Ashwall Prince, which if accepted will start immediately.

Both Zac Llewellyn and Vince Carter will be off to spend time in the academy.
