So far, the only simple one I can see is the one whereby each team gets a wage budget to distribute around their side as they wish, and perhaps including some towards youth if they want.

At least 90% must be used up by the manager.

Any player then has a fixed wage, and the clubs can try and beat that offer (subject to a new rule that no player moves more than once in a season)

If players wish to trade for one another, the players are moved on their current wages (ie I offer AA on £10k for Tendulkar on £15k - when they swap, AA remains on £10k, so the other manager has £5k extra to spend)
I like this system we dont want somthing to complicated or hard to manage.

the only problem with that one is thats if someone is offline for a period of time than what would happen with offers for their players, i still dont like the idea of losing players simply cause another team offers them more money, this is just not realistic, it would only happen at the end of players contracts, and still they may decide to stay with their current club....

i think a more realistic solution may be a sort of 'salary cap' (or a max budget for the team) where teams can only have players inwhich they can afford under their budget, higher divisions get more money, you also get a bonus for winning comps etc for the next season and fines for non team submission etc

The idea of higher division getting more money really ****s me. After all, I always thought that WCC was working towards making teams as even as possible. Its a step in the wrong direction.

Secondly, what would happen if NSW after a couple of bad seasons in one day cricket ended up in division 5, but still played four day cricket in the top flight. How would you distribute funding then???

higher divisions must get more money - cause its not fair on them if they have to give up all their players, also there must be reward for going up divisions, and its realistic

hmm the different forms would have to be looked at, it would roughly be averaged outr i imagine, so they would get more more than a side that was in both forms in div 5, but less thn one that was in div 1 and 2 etc, something could quitee worked our for that to make that fair im sure

Higher divisions will not get more money, simple, it unbalances the game, and I think Blewy has made it pretty clear he won't stand for that.

Equal money or the lower divisions getting more money would be the only way to go to balance things out.

its very unrealistic though, and also top teams would have to shed loads and loads of players straight out, which is simply not fair on them (us:P), perhaps they should get more money at the start and it could even out over a couple of seasons

I direct you to one of my comments above.

Well if you wanted to even up the teams, why create such divisions?Might as well put them all in one division and watch them battle!
Seriously,if you want equality whats the point in making divisions? If you go to the best team of all time thread, you will find that in one of the posts,Karnataka Season 2 are not going to be regarded that highly because their record wasnt against high quality opposition.Read that?High Quality Opposition.Teams higher up in the divisions. At the top! They got there either in WCC or IRL,and deserve to enjoy every right to stay there and enjoy every opportunity given to do that. The Divisions should be gradable and should reflect the quality of the teams. It is the way it is the world over!Do you see the English FA giving more prize money to conference winners than the EPL winners?NO!EPL teams have fought each and every year to be in the limelight and hundreds of teams below them strive every year to get into the elite.WCC should be no different!Promotions and relegations should mean something, not just different opposition for the next season stuff. It should mean taking your team to the next level as you continue your quest to become the best team in the WCC.I dont see how it makes WCC unbalanced? If anything it makes WCC more realistic and makes promotions and relegations actually mean something.Ever played Championship Manager? The joy in getting your Division 3 team to the EPL is unbound! How would you rather do it?Go through each division working your way up building a team of quality along the way or would you rather give your team 45 million, buy all the best players that are willing to come to your club and demolish the opposition in every single game?I for sure would take the first option because I want to work for my reward,I want to put in effort for my reward and not get it handed on a silver plate! The true enjoyment of WCC will come to the fore when you build a team from the lower divisions and take it to the higher levels. When you are regarded a great manager for improving your team by scrapping with whatever little you had.Not When you take a Division 5 team filled with international stars blast every team in the process and find yourself in the big league in 4 years battling with the big boys over the Division 1 title.I certainly remember the joy when I won the first ever WCC game for ND over SA.You want to feel it,do it through hard work and a little bit of luck.Do not demand for it to be handed to you on a silver plate!

The only realistic salary cap system would be one where clubs in the top divisions have a better chance of attracting the better players because they have more money.
As this is not what people want, I say leave things as they are. Just my opinion.

i think on the whole most people want some sort of financial system, but one that must be fairly simple is necessary

The length of that post just shows how complicated this idea is...:wow: :wow:

If you had bothered to read through it I was not actually putting in any ideas but was only justifying that divisions should be graded!

As for a system that is fair for all,I have come up with a solution. How about we give every team an equal amount of money to start with, about 1 million, but grade the sponsors. That is,a division 1 team would get 800-900 K but a division 5 team would get 400-500 K.That would mean that the teams have an equal budget to play with for the first season. You can build a team of superstars for that season, and at the end of it,a Division 1 team would have about 1 Million left but Division 5 teams would lose like 500 K and end up at 500 K total. This is how I intended it to be from the start but I guess this would give the system a fair trial in order to judge it!
