I think if Chad Cornes and Tredrea have no influence (or very little influence) in the game tomorrow, Adelaide will win. I'm totally pumped for it, but if Tredrea is held off well (Bock on him?) I can see Adelaid going to the prelim. However, hopefully Neil Craig will be ready for the possible move of moving Tredrea to the wing like the last Showdown.

If Chad Cornes can just run off his man at will and read the play plus rebound from defensive 50 I think Adelaide may be in trouble.

Rutten will get Tredrae. They've matched up twice this year and both times Rutten has absolutely thrashed him, and I don't think Tredrae has a goal against the Crows this year.

edit: my mistake, second showdown he had 4 marks, 12 touches and 1 goal. First one he had 3 marks, 8 touches and no goals.

If Rutten beats Tredrea again, Williams may move him on the wing like last time. Burton didn't really know what to do when Tredrea matched up on him. Would be interesting.

Its amazing the bragging rights up for grabs for each team. If Adelaide win, that's 3 showdown wins ine one year plus ending Port's season the year after they won the flag. But if Port win, despite Adelaide ending up 1st and Port 8, and despite losing the previous 2 showdowns, they'd end Adelaide's season. Port making the preliminary finals would just be ridiculous considering Mark Williams basically admitted that his team couldn't make the finals after their loss to the Roos earlier in the year.
