I still dont understand why he shouldnt have left though? Why does anybody leave a club for that matter when theyre not delisted? Just because the Geelong culture had changed, doesnt mean he has to stick around, he found change in another form, another club. I think your criticism is a little unfair when the only person who'll know why he left is Colbert himself.

On i think it was On the Couch, Robert Walls was congratulating Colbert on his career, and made a point of how the left Geelong because he wasn't getting the respect he deserved.

I think it's magnified in a one team town like Geelong. But really, it's like a Riewoldt leaving St. Kilda - the guy had played a couple of years for Victoria, was about 23/24. As a supporter, it guts you. Especially when you've been on his bandwagon from the start :(

Two massive games this week. Talk in the Melbourne papers of the crowd in Adelaide being segregated by bays - keeping the Crows and Port supporters apart to prevent any violence. Sounds a bit over the top, maybe Faaip could enlighten us as to whether or not it's necessary...

Adelaide should win, but the Power are darn worrying. I really hope the Crows win this one, but ... geez, it's a toughie to call. How good would a draw be? We haven't had extra time for ages :D

The Swans should have it over the Cats, really. Very concerned about Barry Hall - let's face it, he had a shocker by his standards, with the butterfingers early - and he's going to want to make up for it this week. And Scarlett has never done all that well against him, although last time was an aberration seeing he had the flu. Should be a good game of footy, but Swans to kick away at the end and win by 6 goals.

Theres no doubt it would be. These inter-town rivalries can get pretty intense, especially if one team cops a bad decision by the umpire or something.

Never went to a Showdown myself when I lived in Adelaide, mainly because it's a real pain to get tickets and they sell out in about 30 seconds every time. However, I have been to both Crows and Power games where fans of the opposite team showed up just to cheer on whoever was playing against the locals and shout abuse at the local fans, so it wouldn't surprise me if something went bad. Then again, football does gets its fair share of yobs anywhere that would start a fight over nothing.

I know what you mean, I had real trouble watching 'The King' playing for the Crows.

I will say I have met Colbert and he was just about the nicest player I have met. He could not do enough for me or my sons, signing autographs and asking questions about their footy.

The cats have rushed back Corey Enright, it'll be interesting to see how he goes having been out for a while. Adelaide may go out in straight sets tomorrow, port seem to have their spark back, though 1 game probably isnt enough to make a judgement from

The Swans are in control, but they just can`t kick a damn goal.

The umpiring is still terrible.
