Saints too good. How unlucky is Kozzy? He got knocked out today, but he looks like he'll be ok. He's missed so much footy.

What an awesome Derby. One of the best games I've seen. Dockers look like a very strong side and potentially could be top 4 contenders.

I was listening to 3AW on friday and they were going through the tips and they said if anyone needs to catch up on tipping to tip Freo because they will defintley win. I think that was an amazingly spot on prediction.

This could be a potentially interesting exercise. Everyone post their top ten favourite players in the league, but they can't play for the team you support...

My list, in no order:

Nick Riewoldt
Nick Dal-Santo
Robert Harvey
Chris Judd
James Hird
Shane Crawford
Sam Mitchell
Nathan G. Brown
Russell Robertson
Scott West

RTDAS
Chris Judd
Robert Murphy
Gary Ablett
Mathew Pavlich
Chris Tarant
Anthony Rocca
Luke Ball
Jason Johnson (even after the kouta incident)
Goodwin
And that gun for Hawthorne, Williams I think his name is.

Mind you, I havent watched alot of footy this year and these are the names that come to mind

Adelaide were awesome for three quarters tonight. Have to be the fittest team in the league, and the conditions had virtually no impact, while Port looked dead in the final term.

Hentschel played the best game of his career, and should have won the showdown medal, Thompson and Edwards were great in the middle in the second half, and Rutten dominated Tredrae again. Chad Cornes pretty much single handedly brought Port back into it in the second term, but he barely touched the ball after that, and outside of that quarter Port only kicked three goals for the match.

Great game by Richmond. I think they defintley have a bright future and are top 8 material. Essendon, whilst putting up a great fight seem, seem to be only death pangs With players like Solomon, Hird, Rioli and Fletcher are all on the way out, the future is not bright. Richmond on the other hand seem to be fast and hard. Full credit to them.

However, the game itself was exciting but horrible to watch, the skills were shocking and the amount of on the full kicks and full backs kicking back to the opposing forwards was really bad.

Richmond will make the top 8.

Umbrage must be taken.

Solomon's 26.

The other day I was stuffing around and drew up my best line up drawn from the last ten years:
B: Wanganeen - Mal Michaels - Dustin Fletcher
HB: Akermanis - Wellman - Clement
C: Riucutto - Buckley - Michael Voss
HF: Riewoldt - Carey - Koutafides
F: Hird - Lloyd - Phillip Matera
Foll: Salmon, Harvey
Rov: Cousins.
Interchange: Goodes, Jonathon Brown, Judd, Scott West

Some players - Hird, Aker, wouldn't necessarily play the whole game where they're named, they'd switch and have runs through the midfield.

Tredrea is very stiff, but i'd take Carey and Brown ahead of him, and three CHFs are a few too many. I'd had loved to get Glenn Archer in there as well...

Just who I've rated based on the games I've seen over that period. Not very scientific - I drew it on the back of an envelope while watching saints-freo (but before the siren debacle)

No doubt there are lots I've missed - Lynch and Lockett, the Roccas, etc etc, but you can't have everything :)

Big ones i was thinking was Lockett and Crawford.

Wellman and Mal Michael a touch lucky i would've thought, tough task though.

No they won't.

How can you put such an extreme between the two teams when there was only 2 points seperating them on the night.

I'd be inclined to put McLeod in there if it's since 96, as he was consistently one of the best from around then until 2001-2002 or so. Certainly been a better player than someone like Clement.

Lockett ahead of Lloyd as well, for me.
