You have to feel for Connoly and Freo. This is shocking!

They just interviewed Connoloy and Thomas, everyone is in shock, noone knows whats going on. The umpires have some serious explaining to do as do the AFL. This is absolutley nuts. Dermie just said that this was the strangest end to a game he has ever seen.

I dont think it can either. Once the umpires decided its a draw it will be very very hard to overturn. Anyway it will be for the board members to fight it out now.

The Age already has this up:

Fremantle and St Kilda have drawn their match in controversial circumstances at Aurora Stadium.

Players and umpires appeared not to hear the siren in the dying stages of the match, in which St Kilda's Steven Baker kicked a point to level the scores.

Adding further to the Dockers' angst, the point was cancelled and Baker awarded a free kick in front of goal. He kicked a point and the scores remained deadlocked.

Players and coaches from both sides were clearly confused at the end of the game, which Fremantle had dominated for most of the afternoon.

On the radio they reckon Freo will appeal and it'll be reversed.

Made for some good watching. Obviously the fair thing to do would be to reverse it, but I don't know if they can?
