Bloody Roos, should've won, was a good game though. Bloody Jonathon Hay is an absolute disgrace, his decision making is the worst i've ever seen in AFL football, he's a liability.

What was the deal with Laidley taking Thommo off in the last minute!? Thompson had n awesome game.

Yes, and he also averages more than any other player per game. He regularly takes more contested marks by himself then the whole opposition nowadays considering how many uncontested marks we see in the game in this era.

Regarding Wells, I've been waiting for him to come good for 2 years now. He does the odd good thing, but I fail to see how he's any different to Jared Brennan or any other player that merely looks good when he has the ball, but most of the time does crap all. He's been hyped up as a superstar of the game for so long now, and he's simply not performing consistently.

First off, you got Sav's career goals wrong. At least going by the Kangaroos official website. He has 735 goals I believe.

Rocca: 735 Goals
Richo: 654 Goals

Rocca: 251 Games
Richo: 221 Games

Rocca: 2.92 Goals per game
Richo: 2.95 Goals per game



Secondly, I don't see how showing his career goals, hence how good Rocca was at Collingwood in the 90s (and he was very very good) shows that he's a better player than Richo now. Since 2000 (and if you think 2000 is a random year, pick any you like to show who has been better in the past few years):

Rocca: 107 Games, 248 Goals, 503 Marks
Richo: 102 Games, 283 Goals, 812 Marks

Yeah the Doggies were playing at AAMI stadium, but Adelaide didn't have Ricciuto, Burton, Thompson and Perrie, yet absolutely destroyed the Doggies.

Interesting, I reckon next year or at the latest 2008 Richo will play like that anyway, because he'll be ageing and won't have the tank he used too.

Terry Wallace has said he plans to use Richo like Brisbane used Alastair Lynch in a few years time.
