Surely Lyon throwing the ball like that is a bigger deal than what Jamieson did?
YesRahane's dismissal was the worst of the bunch for sure imo
TBF they're still well ahead in the game. Bhajji denying the Plucky Kiwis a rare win in India in 2010 was a closer comparison.these two are making up for all the lower order runs we’ve missed out over the last few years
this is how it feels to be sam curran’d
And once again a sure sign that the team is succumbing to frustrations rather than trying to control them.Surely Lyon throwing the ball like that is a bigger deal than what Jamieson did?
Nah, I've been hearing this nonsense about Australia's bowling never getting the blame when they underperform for years now. Maybe its a reaction to those people who blame the bowlers even when the batsmen stink it up but its weird. 369 is perfectly acceptable if sub par considering the opposition bowling. Letting sundar and shardul get 60 each is flat out terrible. Dont want to take anything away from the batting pair because they've been superb, but they should be able to get them out cheaper.Hayden speaking the truth - the first innings for Australia was a huge problem.
Because he's garbageWhy isn't Green having a bowl?
Wade literally hit an aleready hobbling Vihari twice in the previous test doing just that.Surely Lyon throwing the ball like that is a bigger deal than what Jamieson did?
Probably because Paine would like a wicket. Why isn't Green having a bowl?
Leadership is a force multiplier. Its obviously a failure of leadership that Australia were unable to even get to 400 on this pitch first innings against a C grade attack. It's a failure of leadership that such talented bowlers can't go for less than 4 an over. It's a failure of leadership that Australia have a habit of letting the game drift. And once again a sure sign that the team is succumbing to frustrations rather than trying to control them.
Talent-wise, this Aus side has it in spades. But they are very much deficient on the mental side of the game IMO.
Check the entire Indian team for breathmints thenashes 2005 or this series?
This is correct. 370 wasn't a great score but it was by no means a bad one either. When you have the opposition 6/180, you have to finish the job, not assume the job is finished and assume they'll all get out because they're random no-namers you haven't seen before.Nah, I've been hearing this nonsense about Australia's bowling never getting the blame when they underperform for years now. Ashes 2005 easily.ashes 2005 or this series?
There's definitely a different apparent mood in the team which seems to suit them better than Kohli's ultra intensity. Not a large sample but it seems to suit them much more. What's the view of the Indian posters of the merits of Rahane as captain relative to Kohli? Not so sure about tactical decision making, but it's been nice to see players not being treated like crap for every misfield or running mixup.
I don't think it really explains the last two Tests, but I do think it's fair to say that most of Australia's poor performances in recent history has more come down to **** batting than **** bowling.Nah, I've been hearing this nonsense about Australia's bowling never getting the blame when they underperform for years now.
