It hasn't been like he's bowled that well anyway. Realistically all the big match-changing partnerships this series anyway could've been saved by better bowling intensity/intelligence. Not everywhere is like Headingley.

Hes gone for over 100 runs without a test wicket so far. Its gonna be hard to get his bowling average under 30 if hes just used in this 'spell here, spell there' manner

I think even there the main issue was Lyon not having an answer to LO batting and a lack of a good yorker for Cummins

Nah, I've been hearing this nonsense about Australia's bowling never getting the blame when they underperform for years now. Maybe its a reaction to those people who blame the bowlers even when the batsmen stink it up but its weird. 369 is perfectly acceptable if sub par considering the opposition bowling. Letting sundar and shardul get 60 each is flat out terrible. Dont want to take anything away from the batting pair because they've been superb, but they should be able to get them out cheaper.

It's hard for bowlers when their batsmen struggle to last out a day.
