This happens a lot less often than the other instances where like 30% of the ball is smashing into the wickets.

And last I checked nicking the corner of leg stump is still out.

It just makes zero sense to go back to rely on an inferior method to make a decision after the time has already been taken to go through the superior method. Unless there are specific instances where an umpires judgement is better than ball tracking, I just don't see the logic.
well because imo the ball tracking representation isn't ideal and in truth there should be a cone of uncertainty around the projected point of impact. with those, i think the cone of uncertainty would actually have it as fairly uncertain that the ball is hitting the stumps and in such cases it should be not out.

What's the margin of error for umpires tracking the ball live though? Because that's the only thing that matters here surely.
