It’s quite incredible that they haven’t tried to fix it. Pretty sure every year has brought complaints

yea i figure Lokesh might cash in more than Vihari would.
He'll score quicker, but he's also much more liable to get himself out - which, worst case scenario, might the be #1 cause of dismissal throughout the Test. Vihari could totally Pujara the MCG.

He'll do **** all imo. No player in the squad has squandered as many opportunities as Rahul as. Not to mention that its very unfair on Vihari to get dropped.

Pant made a 50/60 score in the ipl final and cracked a 70 ball ton in the only warmup game he played, he's not in bad form as far as im concerned.

I know we haven't had any cricket in Melbourne this year, but I think all this talk of an MCG road is premature.

In 2017, MCG received an ICC ranking of 'Poor' (2nd lowest above 'Unfit'). In 2018 it was ranked 'Average' and in 2019 it was 'Very Good', the highest ranking you can get.

To me this means they've worked out the pitch issues and I'm hoping for a fantastic Test.

Pat Cummins on the MCG pitch

"As a bowler, last year against New Zealand, it was a really good wicket, a bit of sideways movement and a bit of pace and bounce, so, hopefully, much the same,"

Chopra jumping hoops to make a case for giving Shaw one more chance. Noble intentions and agreed that one Test is too small a sample size in a 4-Test series for your chosen opener, but can't really see him coming good against this attack, not with where his head and technique are atm. Tough call either way, not dissimilar to what Aus once faced with Hughes (RIP).

Yeah, he's a really young guy at the start of his career and currently out of his depth. Take him out the firing line

Legit Aakash Chopra sounds so cringey. "Before writing him off"? What sort of prose is that? The guy is 21 and has played a handful of tests. That's it. No need to forensically analyse his game. He'll come again in due course
