Cleary.. champ.

Gee, what a shame Queensland won again *sigh*
Not really IMO.

He was disappionting early on, and got his wickets when the Queensland batsmen were trying to push the score along.

3-60 odd off ten overs is nothing to be proud of.

Was up at the game yeasterday, took 99 pictures of the match. I am having some trouble downloading from my camera to my computer. Hopefully it shouldn't take long, Cricketweb has my permission to use them if James wants to, when I should get them up.

Yeah, thanks for coming along Craig. Hope you had a good time, some of the photos were looking really good, be good once you get them up.

Hmm...I'm still worried about Qld's batting, like I have said since the start of the season, if Maher & Symonds don't fire then we could be in trouble, the only other batsman who looked comfortable was Nash, but both he & Nye couldn't push the score along quick enough. Nye isn't a One Day batter for mine, and I was really ****ed off that Nye ran Maher out.

On a positive note for Qld, they should be really impressed with their bowling performance.

Well NSW has posted 9/193... Looks like a pretty low total, but it's early season, everyone's still a bit rusty and they're up against Tasmania. NSW has a fairly good bowling attack, so I think there's still a game here.

dawson is looking ok, macgill was all over him early on, hopefully he can bat through for a 50-60 not out....

I was slightly exaggerating there. Nevertheless, I still think his creativity and perseverance (sp??) kept Queensland to a more gettable score.

queensland are just too big, too fast, too strong, too good. ;)

we do, however, need watson back and kruger to get a bit of match practice to offset the loss of martin love. unfortunately we've tried players like payne and nash for far too long with no success, i've been a little disappointed in nye thus far too.

symonds yet again proved yesterday that he's the best one day player in the world !!

No, what exactly happened?
the umpire gave him out caught at slip after nsw appealed off macgill's bowling, but stewie didnt even appeal and was in shock after seeing the umpires finger go up, so he told the umpire it was a bump ball, and he was recalled....

I agree with Nash and Payne but Nye has only had two games with limited oportunities so it might be a bit premature to write him off just yet. There are a lot of young batsmen coming through in Queensland and there will be a changing of the guard in the next couple of seasons.
