Over here theyve said he'll be back later in the season! So, who knows?! Maybe theyre just trying to keep us optimistic.
Very sad for Clark though, he really is good, but just cant string a season together. Crushing for him.

Vic snubbed

first of all, not enough victorians are getting due credit on this forum. after all, we did win the pura last year.

player to watch - brad knowles. bowls good heat, and was at the academy this year. crosthwaite and white will play for australia, while our fast bowling ranks top any - yes any! - state for depth and quality.

Victoria chose to field against tasmania and gpoing for 5 an over. Dighton and Divenuto getting stuck into Harvey and Harwood.

After 25 overs Tasmania are going along very nicely, 300+ is certainly on the cards.
Tasmania: 160/0 (25 ov) RR: 6.40
Di Venuto 84 (75)
Dighton 69 (75)

*EDIT* Di Venuto has just been caught in the deep by McDonald of the bowling of Lewis, Score now of 160/1

I don't know where Harvey got the reputation as a good bowler at the death. More often then not when I've seen him bowl at the death he goes for 5-8 runs an over. He went for 61 off his 10 only slightly better than White who went for 68 off his 8, and kept himself on (poor captaincy). Victoria need 299 win.

best bowling attack bar none

vics: harwood, harvey, lewis, denton, harrop, knowles, wise, inness who took 5/50 odd vs india last year, better than ne of the australian bowlers did in the tests, mcdonald and moss bowl handy pace, john taylor, played for Western Australia last year, is back in victoria now, plus dirk nannes who has been killing them in 2nd XI games...we don't have stars, but we have consistent bowlers who all hold themselves well at 1st class level

South Australia 4/138.

It's great this match isn't played in Brisbane, because I don't think there would be any play (there are mini canel ls forming with all this heavy rain).

Jack Smith makes his ING Cup debut - at age 27.

And Watson.

lol yeah i keep forgetting hes moved to QLD, definatley adds alot to their attack, with bat and ball - means, as they did today, they can get away with just 2 specialist bowlers.

Ben Cameron looks like a decent player.

i remember seeing abit of him last year, looks pretty good, more suited to the longer version though, doesn't seem like much of a hitter.

callum ferguson could also do well

yeah but the rest of the states have more than enough 'stars' to fill up the national teams bowling ranks.
