10th Match - Afghanistan v Australia

Qlder

International Regular
You wouldn't be complaining about the ropes if Australia was batting.
Haha I deleted my post as didn't want to be that "boomer shouting at clouds about modern boundaries", but no, I would always complain about fabricated short boundaries. Should be 2 metres max for safety only

I agree that the ropes are often brought in too far these days for ODIs and T20s but as long as it's the same for both teams I'm not that bothered by it.

It's an Australia must win game as if they lose to Afghanistan they are likely knocked out even if England beat South Africa (as SA NRR far too good)

Whereas a washout will lock Australia into a semi. Hoping for rain
Aussies scared and hoping for rain?? I expect that from the English, but not Australians. You're almost as tough as us.

Awful ball from Zampa and Ibrahim hits it straight to point, he would be kicking himself, threw his wicket away.

Some other Afghan batsmen need to step up now but none of them have the class of Ibrahim.

Maxwell doing a similar job to Root 2 days ago who was tough to get away at first. It seems like Afghanistan are happy for this stage of the innings to drift and then go hard in the last 20.

The Aussie part time spinners getting away with some cheap overs.

Sediq breaking the shackles with a six to bring up his fifty.
