Well... not heaps bad. Australia score 434/4. Ponting and Hussey were pretty decent. Gilchrist and Kat were average. Symonds and Lee will have their averages boosted by not-outs.

Bunch of chokers IMO.

Superb, what a batting performance by Australia. I always knew that with that batting line-up they had the capability of doing it, but i didn't expect it againts such a strong South African team.

But its batting like this which convince me all the time that australia will win the WC again, especially with the grounds in the WI not that huge (similar to Johannesburg) once they get going like today & like many other occassion in the recent past i pitty all international bowling attacks...

In the end Australia rack up a decent score on this pitch, only 433. SAf should treat this match as a 50/50 game if that makes any sense.

Just a little quirk, but this is statistically one of Katich's best innings (79 of 90) but he still managed the worst strike rate by a distance out of everyone who batted. Poor fella cant get a break about being too slow for ODI cricket

Worst thing for SA was that players were criticising each other at end.

Must make it at least respectable or else season could go straight down the shute from here.
