    Newsflash: Hayden is arrogent

If he made such comments occasionally then I might just write it off as over-confidence but Hayden can never let go. The fact that he was so poor in the Ashes when the likes of Langer, Ponting, Lee and Warne all stood up and tried their hearts out just sealed it for me. He's one of the few...

    *Official* English Domestic Season 2006

Simon Jones' injury will probably stop him from playing in Glamorgan's next match, which will in turn throw doubts onto his fitness for the first test against Sri Lanka. Obviously a scan is needed before we know what's really going on but it doesn't sound too serious overall. Luckily the Sky...

Bell is probably still ahead of both Cook and Shah at this stage, regardless of his poor series in India.

I don't think so. This early in the year a spinner usually has little to do yet you'd probably still want one in your side just in case. It makes more sense to include someone who can contribute with the bat in these situations.

If Harmison's not going to make it then it looks like a lot depends on how Simon Jones comes through his two games for Glamorgan. If he can't find form, or worse gets injured, we might find ourselves with an attack of Hoggard, Anderson, Plunkett, Flintoff and Udal. I'm not sure about that one.

Davies top scores with 42 off 37 balls. How young is too young for an England wicket keeper? ;)

    "World XI in 2008"

That's probably true to some extent but I'd argue that he's got all the tools, it's just a question of whether he can put it all together consistently. Oh.. and whether he can actually get on a cricket pitch with any regularity.

    ***Official*** England in India

He's not the standout prospect but I thought he bowled very well yesterday until the cramp set in. He's a little wayward but, given the lack of cricket he's had at Lancs due to their fetish for playing rubbish Australians, that can be excused. Certainly I don't see why everyone's so quick to...

Is Imran one of the 10 best bowlers ever?

He'd easily make the top ten in my opinion. Didn't he average something like 19 with the ball for the last 60 tests of his career?

    England A in West Indies

Windies A are 40/3 in reply. Broad has one wicket, Mahmood two. Mahmood's done really well on this tour actually, much better than Wharf and Ali. 11 wickets at around 10.xx so far.

Were England lucky to win the Ashes in 2005 ? ?

Were Australia lucky when they won 3 tosses in a row in India in 2004? Were they lucky that Patel and other fielders dropped too many chances? Were Bangladesh lucky that certain Australia players played badly at Cardiff? There is an amount of luck involved in every game of cricket and while I...

Apologies if this has already been posted but Sky have a new programme called "TBA" which appears to be running from 4am til 12 noon for 5 days from March 1st. I don't know why but I get the impression it might have something to do with cricket..?
