This stood out for me. Whatever it's based on, it isn't runs.

A fully firing Jamieson and O'Rourke is an insane prospect.

When was that? I didn't think he'd be interested as he's on one heck of a cushy number at the BCCI PR dept, while moonlighting as a commentator (if not a dictator).

“When you look at the programme over the next three or four years, it would be great to have Kyle fit and going strong, together with the likes of Will – and Ben Sears," Stead said "They can all back up Tim, who isn't dead yet" he muttered as he walked away.

Reputable? Why wouldn't it be?! Doull is spot on over Southee there. Also, that criticism of Wells is funny if what he is saying is true. Wish Devlin had pressed him on it. It was begging for a follow up question. Saying that, someone said the other day that the inside word was Stead wasn't...

Ava Conroy with runs and wickets for Tawa College in the girls' national first XI comp. She's the younger cousin of Jess and Melie Kerr. Another off the Bags Murray production line.

When he did. He should have been canned as a guaranteed starter a while ago, though. At least from the first xi. His Hamilton test selection bordered on farce.

Above average by NZ standards. His record against top sides was never that good at all. He was definitely the best option at the time and absolutely deserved his place. But he is/was about average internationally, for me.

That guy is just speculating. And his opinion is not worth any more than mine or yours. Well, yours anyway. Mine is worth quite a bit.

The headlines being about Southee's sixes rather than his wickets says something. He's been a great servant to NZ cricket but man his reputation has been tarnished - in my eyes - through his continued and underserved selection. Yet, this isn't even down to him, but I find myself annoyed at him...

Katey Martin was certainly determined to ring all she could out of her leave joke. Painful.

Stead is the biggest irritant in world sport.

The problem doesn't lie with Southee. The problem lies with the deadbeats that continue(d) to select him.

Will look out for him. 60-odd in the first game. HG Rumball - great name aside - of CBHS has scored in the first 2 rounds. They are always so strong. Why?!
