Should Brendon McCullum bat at number 5

McIntosh and Watling have both shown enough against Australia to persevere with. McCullum at 5 is ludacris because our middle order is full of talent as apposed to the top. Therefore Williamson should bat 3 on the next tour as thats where he bats for ND and I dont see Vettori relinquishing his...

    *Official* Australia in New Zealand

Skippy to make a ton and TMac to make a gutsy 70 odd to give us some hope before Vettori and Patel put in hours of worthless "toil" before Ponting chooses when his team shall stop batting. NZ skittled for under 200 in the second innings as Nathan Hauritz flukes it again. NZ last 4 wickets go for...

Good decision to select Williamson - my theory is that if your good enough your old enough. I think there is a alot more to gain than lose from playing Kane. I also think he will play, simply because the balance of the sides calls for a batting allrounder, someone who can get through ten overs...

pleased with the fight from dan and mccullum. just a note to say that McCullums test average is now above 35 - a good mark for a wk/batsman IMO. I still believe we need a session of bad light/rain to have a real shot at salvaging a draw. Otherwise McCullum and Tuffey/Southee really need to bat...

does anyone know if Andy Mckay is going to be fit for the tests. It looks like he might be needed with all these injuries.

I give him a shot for the first test. Wellington play a plunket shield starting friday and finishing monday which he should be targeting. If he gets through that I give him a shot to make thetest on the following friday. trying to be optimistic amongst all the bad injury news.

you are all speaking as though Ryder is defs a no go for Bangladesh. Is this the case? Because I had heard he was getting closer to a return, and the test is still nearly a month away.

**Official** Pakistan in New Zealand (3 tests)

some poor shots and some brain explosions (fulton) from the nzers but I think we should pay credit to the Pakistani quicks who were brilliant today, especially Aamer. Anyway, in for a thrilling climax tommorow - I honestly cant pick it. Kiwis need another good day from Bond. by the way, Peter...

fairly fired up for some test cricket. The top eight all look certainties: Guptill McIntosh Flynn Taylor Fulton Elliott Vettori McCullum But the make up of the pace bowling department is still up for question. Martin and Bond look asthough theyll take the new ball but the third seamer is...

looks like Watling could be a good back up keeper, at least he might score the occassional run unlike Hopkins.

**Official** Pakistan in New Zealand (3 tests)

yea there has been the suggestion that because of Ryders absence, Guptill moves to three with Flynn and Taylor sliding down one, so that Tmac and Cumming can open. Im not a fan of the idea and would rather see everyone hold their current positions and a Sinclair or Watling slotting in at 5.

With the first touring match just three days away, I thought it was time to start discussion over a highly anticipated series. Their is plenty at stake for both sides in this series and form suggests it should be a very contestable series. My knowledge of Pakistan cricket is limited so I will...
