Michael Lumb goes to leave Notts 33/3 with Ben Stokes getting the wicket...that's a good sign, he had to play just as a batsman at the end of last season, so glad to see he's bowling again.

    English Domestic Season 2011

In not unexpected news, Durham have announced that Ben Harmison will be released at the end of the season. Hope he finds another club, I think he could do a good job for someone in the second division maybe. Durham County Cricket Club - Durham release Ben Harmison

    Sri Lanka A in England

looks like it could be a short one day match today, England Lions are 16/5 (and for some reason are only playing 10 men, to Sri Lanka A's 11). James Taylor is still at the crease though

    English Domestic Season 2011

Durham and Notts draw...always the likely result after losing almost all of yesterday to rain. Better news for Durham though, Paul Collingwood has signed a 3 year deal to stay at the club till 2014. Durham County Cricket Club - Collingwood signs three year Durham contract

    English Domestic Season 2011

Durham have taken 4 wickets in 5 balls (with both Onions and Thorp on a hattrick, although neither completed it). Notts 25/4 after Durham scored 351 in their first innings.

    English Domestic Season 2011

Colly scored some vital early runs, and Benkenstein saw them home (and in the process, passed 1000 runs for the season and became Durham's top runscorer of all time, passing Jon Lewis' record). That's a 23 point lead at the top, having played a game more than Lancs. The gap to third is 53 runs...

    English Domestic Season 2011

Durham wrap up the win, with Borthwick finishing on 48* and Stokes on 6* good win for Durham, a great recovery to take the maximum 24 points..wouldn't have bet on that at the end of day 1
  12. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

Sussex all out for 194, so no batting points for them. That's a lead of 98 for Durham
  13. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

Scotty Borthwick gets Amjad Khan, to end an irritating 41 run partnership. Panesar comes in to bat :-)
  14. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

Sussex having a collapse of their own and are now 148/8. Wickets being mostly shared among the seamers, Thorp has 3, Mitch and Braithwaite have 2 and Blackie has the other. It's very encouraging given that this is basically an entire second string seam attack bowling today.
  15. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

And Scotty gets Pyrah LBW to end the match, what a relief :-)
  16. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

Plunket takes 2 wickets in 2 balls to get rid of Sidebottom and Patterson
  17. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

Borthwick finally gets Bairstow who made a good score (helped slightly by Durham's attacking fields giving more opportunities for boundaries).
  18. jakob1978

    English Domestic Season 2011

Brophy out LBW to Thorp, Yorkshire 5 down now
  19. jakob1978

Great start for Durham, 4 overs in and Onions and Borthwick have both taken a wicket, Yorks 95/4

    English Domestic Season 2011

Richardson has had a very good match, scoring 67 and 73*. Now obviously the Colonel will come back in next match, if he's fit. But i wonder whether there will be any thought of playing Richardson as a batsman in the future.
