Well...it's a possibility, but 30 wickets falling in 5 sessions of cricket? and 14 of the 18 falling on the first day all going at one end of the pitch? We'll just have to wait and see I suppose, the pitch inspectors are already investigating it.

Durham all out for 185, which means Lancashire need 168 runs to win. Who knows what'll happen, either team could win it...the only thing i'd put money on is that Lancashire will be docked points for preparing a substandard pitch.

This is getting ridiculous down at Blackpool, Lancashire all out for 188, Durham 166 & 103/5 25 wickets fall in 4 sessions. Gibson's average this season is 20.31. Strike rate of 36.9. 67 wickets in 13 matches, second only to Mushtaq Ahmed in Division 1

Well, unsurprisingly, the pitch inspectors are going to investigate the pitch at Blackpool after 18 wickets fell on the first day (apparantly 14 of the wickets fell at one end). Lancashire made 137-8, after they bowled Durham out for 166. Glen Chappell took 7-53, while Gibson has figures of...

Well, I suppose we could pray for rain to affect that match, so they both go away with a draw :) Lancashire 17/4 now.

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Well, Lancashire are 11/3 after 6 overs, so I can only presume that it really is an aboslute dog of a pitch. Irritating, because the lack of batting points could prove vital at the end of the season.

Durham win easily at Derbyshire (by 7 wickets with 12 and a half overs left) & go top of the Div 2 table with 10 points. One game left, at home against bottom club Glamorgan, who haven't won a game in this competition all year. So they really should get both points there. Somerset are on 9...

    Favourite county team

Durham, cause I'm from Durham. but also because I grew up just up the hill from the Riverside, I played on the site of the ground when it was just football pitches & because I went to school in the middle of Chester-le-Street, I passed the ground twice a day on the bus and saw it being built...

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Yeah, how very odd...I took the list from Cricinfo & they've added in Hampshire & Surrey's bonus points despite it being only the end of Day 2, but they haven't added in any of Kent or Lancashire's points despite it ending in a draw. So there should be 10 extra points each for those 2 teams...

Durham win by 5 wickets, so that's 19 points scored. Moves us up to 2nd in the table, having played a game less than Yorkshire. it's so tight, it's still really anybodys to win (or anybodies to lose...Hampshire for example are going to have to play out of their skins to get a win out of this...

Well, thanks to a good partnership between Plunkett & Wiseman, Durham have got up to 297...frustratingly just short of another batting point, but still it's a very good lead of 115.

And Worcestershire are all out for 182. Ottis Gibson getting 7 for 46 in 18 overs. That takes his total in the county championship this season to 55 (at an average of 21.61)

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Gibson once again doing great for Durham. 4 wickets for 23 runs from 8 overs. Worcestershire in some trouble at 58/4

Durham absolutly crush Yorkshire, winning by 9 wickets with just the small matter of 146 balls remaining. Durham go to the top of the table (and increase their net run rate by a massive amount). Mustard continuing his good form - 66 not out, from 31 balls (11x4's & 2x6's, s/r 212.9)

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

Well, Yorkshire have limped to 122 all out in 39.5 overs. Bad batting? Great Bowling? Dodgy Pitch? I guess we'll have to see how Durham get on, but given that yesterday they scored 218 in 30 overs at the same ground (and the overhead conditions are pretty similar as well), I doubt the pitch...

Yorkshire are really struggling to score...they're at 23/3 off 13 overs.

    ***Official*** English Domestic Season 2007

I agree completely. If I have one small criticism of Mustard, it's that he doesn't score enough centuries. He's just been trapped LBW. Still, as the attacking of the two openers, scoring 78 from 40 balls, 12 fours, 2 sixes, s/r 195 gets Durham off to a great start for the middle order to take...

Well, he's the highest runscorer in the Friends Provident trophy, and as of this exact minute he's the highest runscorer in either of the 2 divisions of the pro40 (247 runs. Next nearest is M Lumb with 223 in Division 1, although for fairness sake we should mention that he's played only 3 games...

Durham going well against Leicestershire. Chasing 216, they're 85/1 after 9.5 overs. Phil Mustard continuing to impress. He's so far scored 42 off 16 balls (8 fours and a six) s/r 262.5.
