I like Bopara. I do like him. I like the way he bats. But he doesn't help himself at times. He does like that sweep shot too, and it can get him in trouble. Come on Ravi get a good ton here.

Wouldn't mind a knock like Bopara's against Lancs here.

England's last hope here. These two could quite easily get the runs between them. On the other hand they could probably both get out in the next over. Both very inconsistent for England.

Who are you to just dismiss my opinion? Get off your high horse. I have played Cricket all my life and watch all forms of the game no matter who is playing. As a matter of fact my Football team is currently sat 21st in the Conference North.

Am I not allowed to have my opinion? Ashley Giles fits in perfectly with the jobs for the boys campaign England currently have. We have played negative Cricket now for the past 9 months.

Slow scoring putting pressure on the next batsmen. Feeling the onus of the Flower/Giles regime here. Negative Cricket. See off both new balls. Embarrassing.

This is awful again. What has happened to our mojo? Luke Wright opening the batting and is on 5 off 19 balls? He scored 143 not out off 68 balls only two weeks ago. Negative England at work again no doubt here. And Wright is out. F*ck off Giles.

Here comes Stokes, the greatest bowler ever to play International Cricket.

The last game this Sri Lankan umpire played was a 20/20 and he went for 48 off his 4 overs as his team conceded 237 off 20 overs. Don't know why I posted that, just thought I would look at who he was on Cricinfo.

Not sure why we are persisting with him, he is rusty, in good form with the bat but hasn't bowled for Essex for a while.

In what fantasy world? Onions is a miles better bowler than Tim Bresnan ever will be. Sorry we should all conform with what the Flower power says.

Different discussion for a different day when there is nothing else to talk about :D Point is, England have a habit of picking a bowler who can bat a bit. And it rubs me up the wrong way when we look a bowler short.

Just want to clarify, I have no problem with Stokes playing, but playing him at the expense of an out and out bowler is my problem. He could have batted seven and played and would have been fine. Buttler six.

I would put Onions, Tremlett, Finn & Rankin ahead of Bresnan in the seam bowler rankings at the moment. Broad is easily good enough to bat 8 in Test Cricket with Swann 9 we should be picking our strongest bowlers and not someone who can bat a bit.

Yeh I know. 10 wickets at 30 in the County One Day set up is an amazing performance. Why isn't he opening the bowling in Test Cricket? He's ****ing amazing.

Well I would say playing Bresnan is a negative selection too. Whether you agree or not the fact is there are better bowlers than him and we don't need to cram batters in at number eight, nine and ten. Overton or Jordan should have played.

England should have played three seamers. ANother negative selection from England here by playing Stokes. We just constantly want to cram the batting at the expense of good quality bowlers. We have to get 20 overs out of Bopara/Wright/Stokes here.

Did Morgan say who was opening the batting? Missed the interview and listening to TMS talking about Irish Cricket now. Some places are saying Taylor opening and Bopara at 3?
