    Cricket Books

I'm off to Portugal for two weeks and want to take about 15 books with me so I don't have to talk to the Mrs and I can read for two weeks  I've got "The Plan" by Steve James and some book about the gambling corruption in Indian Cricket. Anyone recommend any other recent Cricket books...

Brian Lara Cricket 99 on Windows 7

I've got the disk version of BLC 99 for PC. My laptop runs Windows 7. I've searched Google for hours, tried installing different stuff, the game won't fully install off the disc, gets to 91% then gives an error -113 or something. Anyone any idea how I can get this working? (Idiot's guide...

    England Tour Squad for Australia

Well! :p What I mean is I want Ravi back in the team. However I know he won't play! What I want and what I think will actually happen is two different things! I want England to line up Cook, Root, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Bopara, Prior, Broad, Swann, Anderson, Onions However it wouldn't...

Unfortunately KP I fear you are right. I really do like Ravi but I can't see him, barring disaster, getting back in the Test team. Who knows though.

*Official* Only ODI - Ireland v England

How boring is it in 2013 that so many people are going on about the nationality? Like it's just so f*cking boring that all these people/press are going on and on about it. You would think it was the first time it happened.

Yeh, your right. I don't think Ravi is a number 3 test batsmen though. Number 6/5 would suit him perfectly.

    England Tour Squad for Australia

I feel there's just something England don't like about Taylor? Can't put my finger on it. They could have played him and Tremlett at the Oval but went for Kerrigan & Woakes? Taylor is going to be back in County Cricket whilst Ravi is going to be batting at six in this line up in the ODIS...

    England Tour Squad for Australia

No worries. Ravi was given 13 tests but how many of them were consecutive? He played 3 in 2007 in Sri Lanka - ok he struggled massively but this was 6 years ago, and against Murali too. England as a collective unit scored 281, 261, 351, 250-3 (DNB), 81, 251-6. He then didn't play a test...

    England Tour Squad for Australia

How am I taking the piss? Bopara gets given 4 tests, Bell can go 35 innings without making a score but he will keep getting the chances? Bopara can take attacks apart on his day, second fastest hundred by an Englishman yesterday only behind KP. Onions is a far more effective bowler than...

When I say just as successful I don't mean in # of runs, I mean in that he will score runs for us and make 100s. He's the closest thing we have to Pietersen when he gets going.

I'm not sure what problems moving Root back down to 6 would resolve. I'd rather see Ravi given a good run in the Test Team at 6, he can bowl a few overs too. If Bopara was given the same amount of time as Bell, Trott etc.. in the team he would be just as successful.

When people suggest "Football" nowadays I think of the modern Football fan sat in a pub watching their team on TV whilst moaning about everything and sat on Transfer Deadline Day having a moan they aren't spending £74million on Emile Heskey. Apologies if thats not what you meant.
