OK to taunt Murali says MacGill

I've seen it with my own two eyes, and I've seen that making complaints is largely futile as well.

OK to taunt Murali says MacGill

Exactly. The abuse I've seen directed at Murali is nothing short of disgraceful and as far as I'm concerned, there's no justification for it nor is there justification for saying he should just deal with it.

OK to taunt Murali says MacGill

Um...no. Are people saying you're not allowed to voice an "honest, harmless opinion"? No. But we are allowed to condemn someone for their "honest, harmless opinion", which is what has been going on in this thread. Regarding your other points, you're making the false assumption that people are...

    Robert Key - Wasted talent?

    Best ever English batsman tbh.

    ***Official*** India in England

Wtf? He's one of the (if not the) best in the Indian ODI team for playing according to the situation. Over the last few years he's excelled at batting in the last 10 to 15 overs.

Equally responsible imo, at least on this occasion.

No they don't. Stop making an issue where there is none. People are disappointed at the decision, that's all.

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

Here's what you said: "But Murali's advantage works to disadvantage his opposition. Hence, it goes a step further than just being 'unfair'." That doesn't seem like you were talking about the athletics comparison at all. What is a step further than just being 'unfair' then?

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

Newsflash, the position of Murali's wrist has absolutely nothing to do with how straight his arm is deemed. You seem to be confused as to what you're actually arguing. Anyway, you're again choosing to ignore the example I gave because it doesn't fit your view. I know, you'll give me the same old...

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

You've been maintaining that Murali has an unfair advantage (actually, apparently it's more than unfair). Simply put, that is an accusation of cheating. And be honest, if all you wanted to say is that his double-jointed wrist may help him, you wouldn't spend pages and pages arguing.

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

How is a double-jointed wrist any different from an abnormally (and naturally) strong wrist - neither has anything to do with talent. I'd wager that the flexibility and strength of Warne's wrist is so great that it is abnormal. So, is Warne getting an abnormal and unfair advantage or not...

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

But people DO have what Murali has, perhaps not cricketers that we know of, but people do...and when did the double-jointed wrist come into this? Warne has unusually supple wrists - he has an 'abnormality' and an 'unfair advantage' by your standards....oh yeah, don't try to argue that Murali is...

    Gangulys comeback?

Handled it better now than he ever has imo. Not as explosive overall now perhaps, but is looking far more solid against pace when a few years ago even when he was making runs regularly he still looked very suspect against pace and bounce.

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

Yeah, ignore my point, well done. By the way, I haven't been missing the mark again and again, I'm understanding you quite well but I'll repeat, your argument is nonsensical because you've decided on an arbitrary point of 'abnormality'. Again, why have you set an arbitrary mark that singles...

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

A couple of points - firstly, it's not ok for umpires to make incorrect decisions about any facet of the game and I fully support using Hawkeye and any other technology available to eliminate errors, as I think SS and Richard both do as well. Secondly, and I don't necessarily agree with this...

    Muralitharan a burglar,a thief and a dacoit : Bedi

Why? The only argument you've been able to offer for that so far is that it's 'abnormal', and that argument is logically crap - not only does abnormal not mean unfair, you're just setting an arbitrary mark for abnormality so you can single Murali out. So again, why is it unfair? Could it...
