    What should Australia do now?

With regards to Australian bowling, why don't they give Nathan Bracken a shot at the test side? He has an impeccable ODI record...

What other side do you support?

I find it interesting that India and Pakistan are nobody's second-favorite team. :p I suppose we have enough for whom they are vehemently 1st favorite. >.>

    Next Lara, IMO.

What other side do you support?

Besides being an India fan, I'd have to say that England is probably my second-favorite team. Comes from years and years of playing ICC which has made me far more familiar with English cricketers than of any other country. In fact, I probably know more domestic English cricketers than I do...

    Tallest cricketers

If you're using a standard such as BMI to classify that, I am sure you will find a great deal of athletes are, in fact, "overweight".

    A Must See !!

Who was the actual guy who probably broke his jaw for not wearing proper protective equipment as per the commentary?

    *Archived* Whatever you like....

I've felt ODI games can be something of a crap shoot in ICC just like in real life, I guess. Sometimes the opposition is freakishly good with the ball and you get bowled out for 150. Sometimes they're really good and chase down your 290-300+ total. And nothing you do seems to contain the scoring...

    A simple ICC 2008 Editor

Just tried it and it appears editing does work. Just edited one of my bunny bowlers to also be a level 6 batsman and he came out next game and made a century. The game also recognized this and suggested I place him at #5 in the batting order rather than his usual #10. I also edited his bowling...

England vs Australia - an ODI series too far?

Maybe they realized England doesn't play enough ODI cricket. Dunno about imbalance, but I think England plays the least amount of ODI cricket among all the test-playing nations? Maybe that's good, maybe not, just saying. That said, 7-ODI series are a bit much, IMO. Interesting tidbit -...

    ***Official*** South Africa In Australia

Was just watching the highlights... anyone notice how Warner's shots were almost exclusively leg side? Just thought that was odd... I didn't watch the full game, but couldn't they adjust line against him or something? And did Dale Steyn have a moustache? :p

When will South Africa play Sri Lanka in a test series again?

As has been pointed, out I can easily see Sri Lanka dominating most teams at home - I think they are harder to beat at home than India is. But what I'm curious to see is how they fare away from home. Murali averages in the 20s in every test playing country (except India and Aus for obvious...

    ICC 1 invincibles

I was just thinking back to the days when I used to play ICC1 and was wondering if this ever happened to anyone before... I was playing as Warwickshire, and must've been at around 2008 or something (the game started in 1997) so my team was mostly new faces by this time. I got a new wicketkeeper...

    Test Captains- an in-depth look

Yeah, upon further consideration, it seems fairly obvious that the above list favors those captains who happened to have good sides playing for them. Case in point: Ricky Ponting, as fine a player as he is, his loss of cool under pressure and Aus's performance since the loss of McGrath and Warne...

    *Archived* Whatever you like....

I think the issue is lots of players tend to have fantastic records in the Indian domestic circuit, which is obviously played on Indian pitches exclusively. So you have batsmen averaging in the mid-50s and bowlers with low-20s averages. In real life, this doesn't mean much as the second these...

    Test Captains- an in-depth look

It's unfortunate that the things that made Stephen Fleming one of the best modern captains can't be measured so easily. What was it, after all, that made Fleming such a good captain in many peoples' opinion?

    Cricket and Education

That is indeed odd. I would've thought Rugby has this perception of a "tough guy" sport where you get dirty, you get injured, etc. having all the features of a more dangerous contact sport. Whereas cricket has this perception of "gentleman's game".

    Cricket and Education

Sadly cricket players don't quite fit the bill of "athletic macho men" - guess it comes from being a sport where one doesn't have to be that physically gifted to be good/decent at. There's a few exceptions like KP and Hayden who are quite buff and you could look at them and go, "oh yeah, he's...

    *Archived* Whatever you like....

The oddest thing: I thought I'd start an England game and play with some of my favorite players like KP and Flintoff and Sidebottom and lead the English to test table glory as my other favorite team, India, is too easy to play as in ICC08. As I was selecting the team for Eng, I noticed I could...
