Players you wish to see in the current era.

Archie Jackson - See how he really would have measured up against some of the other great batsmen. Doug Walters - Partly for the laughs of seeing him play in today's health conscious era. The conflict between him and the fitness coach could be epic. Sydney Barnes - Just to see what he...

***Official*** New Zealand in Australia 2011

That assumes that the old attack was better than the new one.

***Official*** New Zealand in Australia 2011

The fast bowling stocks in NSW are freakishly deep at the moment but Starc would make the NSW side no matter who else was available. Only Cummins would definitely be picked ahead of him and even that is only true because of the last test match.

    What did Sydney Barnes bowl?

Jack Blackham was reputed to stand up to the stumps to everybody, even the fastest bowlers of the day. He was the first great keeper for Australia, although I can't speak for the state of his teeth.

Have to wonder how he got more than a five.

Just ask SA's accountant, he will know how much they took in.

Sir Don Bradman - Is it fair to rate him above batsmen of other eras?

The only caveat I would put on Bradman being the best ever is that all sports naturally improve over time. It is a bit difficult to see in a team sport like cricket but becomes very apparent in sports like running or swimming.

Watson, Sehwag, Gayle and Perera present the Rubbish Review Hall Of Shame

Think he would have had permission to use DRS any time he felt like it while batting.

    Ponting vs Kallis

For some reason, I always think of Boycott when trying to compare Kallis to someone.

    Michael Hussey Vs Kumar Sangakkara

Voted Hussey. Very close in test cricket, perhaps slight advantage to Sangakkara. Hussey a lot better at shorter forms.

    The Anti-McWarne lineup

You can replace Sehwag's name with pretty much any other international batsman and that post will still apply.

Pace gurus speak - Issues with the modern day fast bowlers

I can't really see an issue of balance. There is no real downside to understanding how stresses affect the body and studying to find out what makes a bowling action effective. You do get the occasional case where a bowler changes his action for health reasons and it makes him less effective, I...

Pace gurus speak - Issues with the modern day fast bowlers

While interesting to hear from them, I don't really think they have any special insights to offer. I would be more interested in hearing from someone trained in bio-mechanics in regards to injuries. They might have something more than an educated guess to offer.

    5ives Cricket - Possible new 50-50 format

That was recently tried in the Australian domestic competition and abandoned.

The obsession with pace seems a bit strange to me. Pollock, McGrath and Clark seemed to take wickets without it. Don't see why Copeland wouldn't be the same.

    Test Championship Postponed (read Scrapped)

Sadly, I can almost hear the response already. "A game of cricket that went for 5 days. That is just stupid, granddad."

    What if?...

Australia would have lost to the Zimbabwe Under 12 girls team. What if Bruce Reid never got injured?

Your top ten TEST bowlers of ALL-TIME

You have pretty much made the key argument for me. Spinners are too condition dependent for my liking so, unless the conditions are specified beforehand, I will pick bowlers who I am more confident will perform under all conditions. Murali, for example, had groundsmen pretty much trying to...
