Great fielders in each fielding position

Justifiably. Most overrated fielder in history of cricket.
  2. Debris

    Best in each batting position

Given players tendency to fade at the end of their careers, I think you should also exclude active players. :D

Best Left Handed Batsman who bowls right handed

Except that is not what the thread title says or what was indicated in the OP. Other than that, yes.

Andrew Flintoff Jumps The Shark, But Does Correctly Call Michael Atherton A Prick

You can't really judge a player's intelligence by a few public statements. You would think all former Australian players were idiots if all you listened to was the Channel 9 commentary. Think Channel 9 put it in their contract or something because they sound perfectly reasonable people before...

    ***Official*** Australia in England 2012

He is actually a natural outswing bowler.

    Best in each batting position

Hmmm, I guess you can choose whatever criteria you like. I would have maybe gone with a percentage of innings in the position as well to get rid of the nightwatchman factor.
  7. Debris

    Best in each batting position

Think you have chosen a few players out of position there. Gilchrist would only ever have batted at 8 if Australia had sent in a night watchman, for instance.

West Indies Cricket - General Discussion

That side actually looks really competitive on paper if Gayle is actually available. Really think that both Chanderpaul and Samuels should be batting one higher, with Bravo batting at 6. There is always the option of batting Barath at 3 if Edwards form does not improve.

Was West Indies' Dominance a Triumph for Intimidation?

They would still be effective, no question, but they would be less effective. At least I think so. Someone has just posted a video of Brian Close facing them and they showed a picture of hiim with about 15 bruises on his torso at day's end. That has got to have an effect, especially for...

Was West Indies' Dominance a Triumph for Intimidation?

It is probably a bit unfair to group them all together.

    Any one knows this?

Rumour floating around at the moment that Ed Cowan won't be one of those contracted players.

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

So English too lazy to even play?

Was West Indies' Dominance a Triumph for Intimidation?

Actually I don't remember them bowling a lot of bouncers. My memory is of them bowling a lot of balls at the ribs and chest. There is no doubt that intimidation was a large part of their armoury though - you only have to listen to the tailenders who faced them. They were all more worried...

    Bring Back ABDUL RAZZAK!

    Any relation to Abdul Razzaq?

**Official** West Indies in England 2012

Bit sad when Broad is your best option to kill a batsman.

**Official** West Indies in England 2012

What!?!?! They move the boundaries back????? IS THERE ANYTHING THAT ENGLAND WILL NOT STOOP TO!!!!!!!!!

    ODI All Time XI

Clearly did not score enough runs because they dropped him.

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

I think Australia could give it a shot. Bannerman, Trumper, Jackson, Ponsford, Woodfull, Barnes, Morris, Simpson, Lawry, Hayden would all have some sort of argument for being better than Cook

Time to get rid of over limits in short forms of the game?

Why stop at 5 days, sounds too restrictive. Surely it makes more sense to allow as much time as needed to complete 2 innings.

Why do England struggle to produce undisputedly great players?

Well, this is the question. I think everyone on this forum has a different version of what an ATG actually is. It would be a good start, though. Edit: see post below for confirmation :)
