***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2013/14

Surely more likely that the bookies have got at the opposition.

Were bodyline tactics actually that negative?

I guess I should have been more specific. I was after examples. I could not find much in the way of the Australian team complaining publicly about bodyline at the time. There was the famous statement by Woodfull but that was a leaked private conversation.

India, Australia, England attempt to take control of Cricket

I think the general public does equate hitting sixes with entertainment. Did I really need to spell that out? Surely it was obvious from the context.

Were bodyline tactics actually that negative?

What exactly are you objecting to about the Australians actions in 32/33? Was it their refusal to bowl bodyline or something else?

India, Australia, England attempt to take control of Cricket

You seem to be mistaking cricket purists for the general public.

    *Official* Second ODI in Brisbane

That's why I always hit the 20 minute extender button for recording sporting events twice or record program after as well. They never finish on time.

Were bodyline tactics actually that negative?

Do you have an example of something within the rules and outside of human decency if the above is OK?

    Prior V Haddin

Yes, but Gilly batted on really flat pitches :D
  9. Debris

    Well done Australia

Or the pitches really favoured bowlers.

    **Official** Big Bash League 2013/14

That probably covers just about every ex-cricketer ever.

Dropped after playing well in last test?

Clarrie Grimmett. 13/173 in his last test.

*Official* Fifth Test at the SCG

Bit of a hot spot fail. Surely you need to look at hot spot from side on.

*Official* Fifth Test at the SCG

Commentators get very brave in their declarations after they retire.

***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2013/14

I want to see at least another season of heavy scoring by Hughes before I would pick him again. Failed too many times at test level for my liking.
  15. Debris

Just How Good Was Barry Richards?

There were definitely winners. Probably not the people you want to be winners though.
  16. Debris

    George Bailey

I think you can leave Hughes out of that list for a year or two as well. He really needs to make runs consistently at shield level for a couple or years before you reconsider him after his constant failures. They really need to do some talent identification and pick a player on potential...

Is this the greatest era for Wicketkeeper Batsman?

Worse with the gloves, though. Some of them are more backstop than keeper.
  18. Debris

    George Bailey

That is probably the most depressing list I have read in a long time.
  19. Debris

    Was Australia's Sledging Too Much?

Solution to that is pretty easy. Just stop the bowler if any player is talking as he runs in. The bowler will fix that problem for you.
  20. Debris

    Spineless pathetic bastards...

His wife was dying of cancer so I can understand the reaction. He was in no mental state to be playing in that game and something that he would have normally just shrugged off upset him.
