Richard Terry. All been downhill since he retired.

    20th Match - New Zealand v Australia

Shh! Stop giving away Australia's secrets. Seriously, if there are any NZ bowlers reading this you should definitely try roughing up the Australian batsmen with the short stuff. It's a major weakness and you will probably get most of them out fending off.

    Warnie - Please Stop

Disgraceful how he is hiding behind the truth like that.

You know what really grinds my cricketing gears?

That as well but footwork only really becomes important when there is a lot of deviation from a straight line. You can still see the importance of it when facing spinners. You can rely on a good eye and timing, though, if the ball isn't deviating.

You know what really grinds my cricketing gears?

Thirty years ago when pitches were ****, footwork was actually really important. On the roads that are produced now, not so much.

Best Ever Bowling in a WC Game

Andy Bichel, 7 for 20 vs England in 2003 World Cup. England a slightly better side back then.

You have pretty much outlined the difference between Australia and NZ in one line.

THe Gabba - An International Cricketing Backwater

Well, at least you apologized. That is worth something.

THe Gabba - An International Cricketing Backwater

That was the point where I lost all interest in your post. A comment either in very poor taste or completely oblivious to circumstances. There were only 4 cities in Australia to host a test match this summer and Brisbane was one of them. You should be grateful.

    2nd Match - Australia v England

It was getting ridiculous. You knew something was wrong when Lehmann was a serious bowling option.

    5th Match - Ireland v West Indies

You would think they would have qualifiers at least.

Dammit ....when will the revival happen ?

You would need to make the NBA or possibly one of the top Euro leagues to compete. Top players in the NBA are making over 10 million a year plus endorsements and there is no way cricket can compete with that. I don't know of any WI player at that level currently. although there is one...

Dammit ....when will the revival happen ?

I look at that West Indies team and think how impossible it would be for a team like that to survive today. - They had an over rate which generally hovered somewhere between 75 and 80. - They were a very arrogant side. Australia cops a lot of criticism for being arrogant but they had nothing...

    4th Match - India v Pakistan

I was a bit surprised to see Afridi listed. Was shocked to see that he is only 34, seems like he has been around Pakistan teams for 20 years or more. He is a chance for the next world cup. :thumbs_up

    2nd Match - Australia v England

Indeed. England currently have the second-top run-scorer and equal leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

    2nd Match - Australia v England

Other fans are correct. Having the umpire refer every decision upstairs would be a nightmare and this is basically what would happen. You would have to extend play for an hour or reduce over requirements to fit it in. Player reviews are a good idea because you can reverse blatantly wrong...

    Fielding Statistics: A New Approach

I think you might need to include number of catches attempted per match as well as drop percentage. There is the issue of someone like Bevan being quick enough to make an attempt at a catch but Rackemann being too slow to get near the ball. Position might also matter. Are more catches dropped...

Best Bowler in the death overs of ODI

Agree McGrath was never a great death bowler, although he improved towards end of his career. There were phases of his career where he wasn't even used in last 5 overs. He might be the best bowler in the first 10 overs though.
