India Vs England - What a Pathetic Performance by Dhoni

Yes that was baffling to say the least. I think the ONLY explanation I could think of was that India (or Dhoni) said, that they are losing this one so better to get as close to the total as they could so that the NRR is barely dented. I would say it wasn't the worst strategy in the world.

Greatest ODI XI (But only one player from one country allowed)

I get the point you are trying to put across, but Morgan and Buttler doesn't work for this thread.

Greatest ODI XI (But only one player from one country allowed)

Some interesting combos out there. So I will have a second go at the XI - Jayasurya - SL Gilchrist - Aus Kohli - Ind ABD - SA Viv - WI Buttler - Eng Shakib - Ban Akram - Pak Streak - Zim Rashid - Afg Shane Bond - NZ

Greatest ODI XI (But only one player from one country allowed)

The rules are clear. You use only one player from one country and see what is the best combo you come up with. Tendulkar - IND Gilchrist - AUS Kallis - SA Williamson - NZ Viv - WI KP - ENG Shakib - BAN Akram - PAK Rashid Khan - AFG Heath Streak - Zim Murali - SL

    Greatest All Time ODI XI

Arguably 2 keepers is too much. So you could opt for only one keeper. Botham, Symonds, Klusner some players to miss out.

    Greatest All Time ODI XI

Okay since we are talking long tails, I will add an allrounder XI. Only condition must have taken 100 ODI wickets and scored 2000 runs to qualify (2 keeper batsmen allowed as exceptions). Tendulkar Gilchrist Kallis Viv Shakib MSD Flintoff Afridi Akram Kapil Pollock

    Greatest All Time ODI XI

If and buts applies to everyone, of course. Eventually, people are judged on what the numbers are and not what they could have been "if" X was different and but for Y. However, I will give you the different era argument for VIv for it was different era, rules completely different and their...

    ***Official*** County Cricket 2019

Tendulkar Jr would NEVER play for any country besides India. Changing federations mayn't be a big thing everywhere, but we Indians are ferociously nationalistic. But thx for posting this, I wasn't even aware that such an event was taking place.

    Greatest All Time ODI XI

Look I like Lara and I think he is the best test batsman of his era (yes better than Tendulkar, but slightly). However, as ODIs go I think Sanga and Lara is definitely not a sweeping settled issue. Sanga's record in everyway is better than lara's in ODIs. So to say that its not even a debate is...

    Greatest All Time ODI XI

Umm, why not? Sanga has tonnes more runs in ODIs than Lara (14234 vs10405), has a much better avg than Lara in ODIs (42 vs 40.5), has only a slightly worse S/R than Lara (79.5 vs 78.9), has more 100s than Lara (25 vs 19). Its all well and good praising Lara, but atleast bother to compare...

Have you seen Sanga's record? Test avg of 57? Not an ATG?:-O

    Greatest All Time ODI XI

With due respect to Lara, Sanga's ODI record is phenomenal and better. As for ABD I have already said that in hindsight I would have replaced Sanga with ABD in the XI. Malinga I think the pre-eminent white ball seam bowling specialist of his era. So I would give him the spot.

India's Best ODI Team of All Time

Sachin Sehwag Kohli Rohit Ganguly MSD Raina Kapil Zaheer Kumble Bumrah Batting order would be an issue given that all the good ones (barring Kohli) were openers. So I would say *these* batsmen and then MSD and co. in that order.
